Nothing wrong with it, just not that great. Look here for some good ideas: http://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84795

well,im the odd ball,i tend to make classes that are corssclassed to do as much as possible. My philosphy is,max a min maxed character, and have the need for people to bail you out,or make a class that good at everything, but not perfect, and you can do almost anything.

its not uncommon to see me running by on a Warforged Wizard built for Melee and DPS through spells and weapons.Sure,a full on fighter or a full on wizard will be better at doing 1 task in both fields...but what fighter can run in,tank, and cast Wall of Flame, then Throw a Fireball in the middle of combat?

people snicker at my builds, but seriuosly...with lvl cap of 14...how laughable is a Warforged Sorcerer, that has 2 lvls of Paladin, and 2 lvls of Rogue and 10 lvls of Sorcerer? What willy ou do when you see this Machine run into a mission weidling a Sirrico,or a Whirlwind, and then watch as his above 40ac,allsows him to tank, then his rogue evasion and saves make matters worse? What about in pvp?that obnociuos Sorcerer thats throwing misguided fireballs and hypnotise wont be much of a problem. So far with a Wizard 10/1 Barbarian wizard iv got..iv been taking on fighters, rangers, and even barbrains that are built to be the best at that class, and i can melee 90% of them down, using a great sword.

So ill say,the best idea you can get for a built,is whatever you want it to be...not from some class builder program,do what you like, not what is recomended.thats all the advice i can give.

It really helps if you talk about what you were trying to achieve and why.

Right. To clarify sigtrent's point, if you wanted to be a sort of 'buff up and melee' type then your high Cha is meaningless and your low Strength is embarassing. If you want to be a sort of 'cast offensive spells and be able to survive aggro' maybe you're more on the right track.

Multi-classing 'opposed' classes like this (melee<->caster) is pretty advanced stuff, I couldn't bring myself to do it until I got 32-point builds. Or at the least Drow I guess.

i know full well wizards lack ac no matter what in many cases, and the hardest thing when i went wizard was not that even, but lack of mana base like favoreds and sorcs get, making your spell choice triky and use even more so. so, how do we make up for this? my idea is to not have to rely on spells solly, with posible traping via high inteli, and maby fighter or pali for durability. im asking for advice to make this work, cause so far i have felt the erge to rage quit with my current build for wizard 5 rogue 2. she is human, and i feel i could have done her better. but i like my spell base being around conjuration and acid spells, cause they have good contin dam, but also like the area of necromancy. but right now, getting most ac with least spell and skill failure is my main goal. so please, any advice would be wanted. :)

You don't say!

Seriously though, Wiz/Rogues are decent build, made super survivable via stupid high int, insightful reflexes, and evasion. Start with max int, and the rest in con as a level 1 rogue. Take around 7 wizard levels, and then another level of rogue to round out your rogue skills. Skillups and tomes into int should finally leave you with enough skillpoints to keep your rogue skills up while leveling the rest of the way into wizard.

As a fleshy, Pale Master would be right up your alley, giving you self healing and good use of necromancy (Though i have to say, you seem to have a natural knack for it). However, just because you're plashing a melee class does not mean that melee is a good idea - quite the opposite. The level cap isn't 14 any more, and trying to poke at enemies with rapiers, rather than relying on your powerful spells simply won't end well.

If you're having problems with survivability, take a look at some of the tools in the arcane toolbox - blur, displacement, jump, stoneskin, resist energy, protection from elements, greater heroism, and other defensive goodies. Not to mention, being able to disable, dibilitate, or destroy an enemy group before they can react is usually the safest way to work through a quest, with web, mass hold, disco ball, and otehr CC effects being very popular (And if you are heaving real problem, try the charm/suggestion/dominate spells - they can really turn the tide of battle when you are struggling, but tend to only slow down groups who steamroll through enemies, so you won't see it often when grouping with others)

You'd be surprised at the AC you could get on a caster with the new armor, shields, and AC system. Just messing around I got up to 50% miss chance at lvl with no ASF.

For AC look for the highest protection item, natural armor, Dec item, AC item, and if your neutral a stability item.
