I'm looking to make a build that concentrates on defeating undead creatures.
I currently have a lvl 12 fighter and I'm sick of his weak will saves and the hard time in killing undead.
Any advice on class, stats and so on so fourth?
pld?
necro sorc?
what's the deal?

Depends on your approach. Strictly speaking, if you want to get in toe to toe combat with them a Paladin is your best choice. Your turns aren't the greatest, but your saves will help you resist some of the more dangerous abilites of the undead (such as hold, dominate). You also are immune to fear and disease which is handy, especially in later quests against mummies.
As far as builds go...check the Paladin forums, there's a lot of good builds there that might be what you are looking for. I wouldn't waste precious feats on Extra Turning or Improved Turning as turning (improved as it is) isn't useful at higher levels except for maybe destroying or fearing trash mobs (of which in end game elite content most of them are unaffected).
Clerics and Rangers are also good, Rangers because of their favored damage and Clerics because of their spells and better turning capabilities.
Still, given a choice of the three, I'd take Paladin or maybe a multiclass Paladin/Ranger. Good luck and let me know what you find. Undead are my favorite enemies to fight, so this is a topic I've given a lot of thought to myself!

Or a disruption for all!
Seeing as how my best pull during the last +1 loot weekend was +4 int goggles (had to buy +5 int for my wiz) and +5 mithril breastplate(Don't have a character that would use it)... my odds of getting a disruptor/banisher/vorpal anything are slim and none. And slim just left town :(
But for undead hunting, especially the trash mobs, don't forget the power attack stance ;)

Pally with +1 ghost touch mace of greater undead bane works nicely.
Although those archers in BTG and Wiz-King are killers. I wish I had whatever their ammo is.

I'm not sure telling him to go out and get a collection of Greater Undead Bane weapos is exactly the way I'd go here, but hey. To each their own.

pally or battle cleric with decent cha should be good vs undead...also a wizard or sorc with appropriate spell selection can rip them a new one...and not in the way their decaying skin does

Well the OP _was_ looking for the best way. :D
But in all reality as long as you can hit them, a holy weapon works nearly as well as a greater undead bane and is a lot more common.
Just a couple days ago I picked up a +3 holy longsword of righteousness off the broker... that'll do a nice job on non-skelly's and a fair job on incorporeal. One persons trash is anothers treasure.

what i like to do is hit them with my flaming sword and hit them with a smite evil, maybe even a lay on hands, or cure them to death with my cleric lol.

This is exactly the answer that I would give with a couple of additions. My Barbarian is a Warforge, meaning that he is immune to disease, poison and exhaustion. Also, as a lvl 14 Barbarian, I also enjoy Indomitable Will.

Paladin would be best because you can heal them and turn them. But its more about gear then build, get a disrupter or a greater undead bane.

Level 14 dwarf barb, +48 to damage while buffed and with power attack on and a +1 weapon
Undead weapons are +1 ghost touch maul of disruption and +1 shocking burst greatclub of greater undead bane.
I don't know of anyone that can kill undead faster except maybe an arcane with max/emp firewalls(but they dont have 480 hps :D:D).

Will saves-Helm of free will Twighlight forge
To fix this old post: Helm of Freewill is not a bonus to Will saves. It's Fear Immunity and SR17.

Best way to deal with intelligent undead: Point at the guy standing beside you and say 'he'll make a much better servant!'
If that fails, and you don't have a disrupter, call in the clerics and arcane casters.
Other than that, just have good saves, good buffs (deathward f.ex), and greater undead bane weapons.

If you want the best way, roll a sorc. Firespec and toast with firewall.
If melee is your thing, you need answers to the powerful debuffs undead use (I suggest Greater Heroism/Reaver Ring for fear, and a level 3 Silver Flame pendant for everything else). The Pendant comes from 3 runs of The Cursed Crypt, a quest that'll take you 45 minutes if you don't know it, 30 if you do, and 20 if you have a group that all know it well. You can run it on normal every time.
