Dorim drinks a lot as most of his kin do. He often wakes up wondering where his clothes have gone, rushing to find his party and get started on the next adventure. You can help Dorim. Find him sleeping and wake him up before time runs out and he will reward you with your choice of one item from his hoard.
You'll have 60 minutes beforehand to find him sleeping somewhere in Xen'drik. You must be the first to stand in front of him and '/tell' him to wake up. He's a very deep sleeper.
Watch this thread for contest dates and other info. Comments are appreciated and thanks go to the CS Team and Developers. GOOD LUCK!

Hey Goom. I'll try to give more notice once Dorim has enough favor for another bank slot. Carrying around that much stuff is a bit exhausting :) Cheers!

Remind me MST is 2 hours behind EST?
Yep, so I thinks its a 9:00 PM start for us (the only problem is that we're on EDT now and not EST).

Hey guys. I'm still fiddling with the times and trying to find a time where everyone will have a good chance of playing without interrupting their gameplay for the evening. Let me know when you think is best and I'll try to find a happy compromise.
Currently the latest on a weekday I can run the contest is 7:00pm to 8:00pm MST. The Earliest is 5:00pm to 6:00pm MST since that's when I get home from work. I am also thinking of running the contest on a weekend and see how that goes. That's when Dorim replenishes his hoard anyway. I could probably go as early as Noon MST on Saturdays. I usually pick the weekdays since that's when people are less serious about playing.
Let me know what you think! Thanks!

For those who get confused as I do and are in a zone that observes DST, which is most of Canada and the US, here is a simple reference:
Pacific: -01:00
Mountain: 00:00
Central: +01:00
Eastern: +02:00
Atlantic: +03:00
Referenced from http://www.timeanddate.com: DST or Daylight Savings Time is refered to as 'Summer Time' in many countries around the world. During the summer the time zone abbreviation has a D is it (MDT) and during the winter an S (MST). DST is used by most countries to save energy costs by adjusting the time to allow more natural light in the evening. And you thought they just wanted you to be a happier populous. :p
For all you workaholics out there, when DST ends in the fall, the day is actually 25 hours long. Get busy. :D
Another useless factoid: The dates DST begin and end shift over time due to the orbit of the earth and in 2007 Canada and the US are planning on moving the dates again. All I know is I'm cold 8 months out of the year in Canada. lol
Found Ya! Hooray! And, Thanks Again!! Great Contest. :D

What about Alaska. Everybody always forgets about Alaska. For the exampel above it would be -02:00 I guess.:)

Have a look and see what's for grabs this week. Some spill over might make it into next week in case you miss it on Sunday. :)

Due to all the server issues Dorim was unable to log on at the specified time. I'm assuming many of you also did not have an opportunity. As long as the servers hold the contest has been moved to tomorrow from 6pm - 7pm MDT.
Good luck to us all!
Is the contest over? Did it happen Monday? Or is the re-scheduling for Tuesday? Inquiring gooms would like to know.

Sorry all. With the servers and forums bouncing so much I haven't been able to update the forum nor run this contest. It will be rescheduled as soon as the situation stabilizes. I'm hoping to have it set for next weekend. Sorry for the delay.
Dorim.

This is a fun to do and a break from the monotony. THanks.

No hurry! I know its a bit of a pain for you to put the contest together, so a BIG thanks!
BTW, Danbei, Drider, and I will let our guildies know! We Are Borg may come out in droves for the next contest! Maybe even MrsGoom will make an appearance.
Could you send me a PM once Contest 6 is scheduled. That way, I'll know PDQ and be able to let my guildies know ASAP. Thanks! :D

I posted contest 6 earlier in the week but couldn't access Dorim's hoard. It's listed finally. Good luck to all.
No one found Dorim? Was he on the airship to the Restless Isles? That was my guess...:D

Why is this a sticky?

Appologies Apollojuly. I used to run this contest every month, and it's been on hold due to lack of interest. I've also been spending considerable time on my maps instead.

As many know, Dorim has been traveling the lands making maps and rarely sleeps these days. He also travels far from Stormreach and rarely has a chance to see the townspeople there.
So, after careful consideration I have requested this thread be un-stickied until such time that he may return from his cartographer's journey. Sir Lawrence and his band of merry men have taken the game across to all planes in his stead. Let us hope they bring joy to the people as Dorim loves to do so much.
Dorim sends his regards. Sleep gentle dwarf. And dream.
