If any Established or New regular play teams would like to expand their ranks or be part of a larger community and have comrades to cheer their return to the Tavern as they prepare to set out with their own group(s) let me know! It seemed like it would be a good idea to keep like minded players aware of each other in case of schedule changes, have a larger known population, or maybe even special events..... Mature Non-rush RolePlay Encouraged Teams Join the Dedicated Teams guild on Sarlona

General Guild Guidlines

The Guild is made up of groups of Static Teams ( Static Teams are fixed sessions with players assigned to a specific group ). These teams are created by team leads with whatever playstyle ( Roleplay or NonRoleplay ) and house rules they deem appropriate. Other than a requirement of the Static Team concept Team leads are basically running a miniGuild within the larger Guild. As such Team Leaders are responsible for the actions of their team and their team's members.

General Guild Policies

Team leads are promoted/hold Guild Officer status
There should not be more than two Team ALTERNATES/Floaters Guilded per group
Guild officers may have their personal additional characters if they desire (they ultimately serve as representatives of the Guild)
Team officers should remove any members who have left the group (inactive members are pruned after 6months)

It gives me great pleasure to announce the newest group of adventurers lead by Serai Tanda to the ranks of the Dedicated Teams Guild!

I believe she has one spot left and if the adventurers can finally manage to reach the Harbor of Stormreach Monday you might be the lucky one to fill that last permanent spot...

The Xen'Drik Adventure Company on Fernia is a dedicated play group that is seeking 2 new members. We currently are level 5, with around 110k XP. We have a "mage", "rogue", "cleric" and "bard" and are looking for some "warriors".

We do not really care what you choose to play (although we would love at least 1 paladin!) and would even consider another of the classes that we already have.

We play on Tuesdays and Thursdays on Fernia from about 3pm PDT until 6pm PDT (6pm-9pm EDT).

More information can be found on this thread....

The Good News :) - I'm glad a new team has formed under the leadership of Serai Tanda under the Dedicated Teams Guild.
The Bad News :( - It appears my team has lost "Kurik", it was quite a pleasure adventuring with him and he will be missed but we are going to have relinquish his permanent spot soon. Alas, Violet our Bard has given her notice she will soon be leaving for distant shores.

If any kindly individual of The Order would like to dedicate one of their characters to a regular play team on Sarlona follow the Mature Nonrush link [First Post] to see if you are interested in joining an established team.

Looks like we lost Vi, and probly Red too

So if anyone out there is interested in a dedicated team with a little RP (or a lot, we're pretty flexible) we play on Monday nights

We're on Sarlona, start around 8:30 pm PST. Look for Theft or Goby if you want to try it out

Theft is a ranger, Goby is a rogue, sometimes we have a paladin (Raena), so its open to whatever you want to bring

Since everyone is reading the forums today, waiting for the module update/fix that has been delayed, I'd like to remind everyone that the permanent Bard/Cleric healer slot is still available.

I've also been toying with the idea of an expansion team along side mine ( remember MNGN team is/has/was always expanding follow the links in the first post )

Not entirely sure where to post this, but this seemed like a good place. Due to the free playtime over St. Patty's day weekend, I reinstalled DDO and thought I'd give it another go. I'm looking for a static team that has similar goals and interests as me. Here’s a list of things I’d like to see!

- No Rush (REQUIRED. I haven’t done most of these missions before)
- No spoilers (Exceptions are ok in extreme circumstances.)
- Light-Moderate RP
- Limited voice chat (I prefer none at all)
- 2-11PM EST (Not the whole time, but anytime in there)
- Mature attitude (No throwing fits, l33t sp34k, fighting over items, etc)
- Punctuation, grammar, etc. (dont u takl liik dis!!!!!!!!)

Basically I’d just like to have fun and experience the content. The character I’d like to play is named Lysteria Lightfoot, a 1st level halfling ranger. I’d certainly be willing to try and catch up if an existing party isn’t too far ahead. Please get in touch with me if you’re interested, and thanks!

If you go to the first post in this thread you'll find links to all the Dedicated Teams in the guild.

In regards to RP and EST based Teams:
The Famous Monday Night Game Night is a dynamic always expanding group - but they are a higher level team ( if you get to around three they would probably be willing to work with you ).

There is also a Noneil's Initial level RP team on Tuesdays that is trying to get off the ground. So if you wish to adventure with "Connly", yeah that's him over there the Paladin sitting at the Wavecrest. There is another interested soul, so that would make three of you...

Of course you could also join "Korihime" for a Monday Night PnP Dedicated Team too :o

Do you realize we have 6 Dedicated Teams! You have a few options;

A) That ALT, you know, the one that is dying to join a steady group of comrades everyweek - our mid-level teams have a few openings.

B) Get on the waiting list for the initial level teams that are full or snatch up the very last single open Tank position.

C) Become a new Team Lead and start your own new Dedicated Team.

Pick one (or two and no it cannot be D, no not option D, option D is bad) and check out the [First Post] in this Thread for more information.

On our arrival to the City we were struck by the strangest of sites, streets full of people, all held in some sort of trance. We spent a fair amount of time trying to awaken the denizens of Stormreach but it was not until the arrival Sir Lawrence that the spell was finally broken!

Try as we might, even with the lively elfish dancing of Korihime, we could not gain an audience with our Nobel Guest. The Dance (http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w8/fred9869/pub/Korihime.jpg) . Then something evil followed our visitor into the city, the Red Dragon itself! I Thalion managed to mortally wound the creature, ( ...did have a little help from a friendly spellcaster, and it is hard to see the creature as it was polymorphed into a smaller being but none the less...) Thalion Criticals the beast (http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w8/fred9869/pub/red-dragon.jpg)

Well, that puts a bit of a damper on the grand plan!

Coldin, to answer your questions ....

*Only* those who find me will get a prize. So if your party is split up? I will only give it to those who found me, because the others did not. Also, if I am giving out prizes and another groups come up, I will not give them a prize. They didn't earn it, all they actually found was a group of people winning prizes.

Snorting and grunting like a bear rising from his hibernation, a lone dwarf at the last barstool stands and stretches. He yells to the barmaid, "Gimme another, nay two, fer the road!", and then, quieter, "I keep fergettin tha yer puny glasses are meant fer the humans 'n elves alike to enjoy. I've taken a look at the rosters and times and have yet to locate anything which works with my availibilitiy. I'm operating out of Germany right now and suffer from a 7+ hour difference when it comes to finding a group. Have you heard of any DDGs which operate at those kind of hours?

thalion
05-29-2007, 10:09 AM
No I am not personally aware of any static group running around that time - should you try the European servers? If that doesn't work out or is not an option perhaps you might consider creating a group to fill a new timeslot that others might be interested in? People on different shifts and mid-day players might be be looking for a steady group...

If you are going to attend ( yes I know it's Mondays Game night for a lot of you ) and will be creating new characters over there and would like to guild them up ( even on a temporary basis, no Dedicated Team rules, no commitment ) I did create the Guild over there too.

Just to let everyone know the all Cleric's group is up and running. We meet last night and had a great time. It seems we have quite the diverse group. Our Warforged seems to have quite the distaste for "fleshies" as he called us. The dwarf of the group in my opion is quite mad. Our elf is somewhat quite prefering to lurk in the shadows and pick the enemy off one by one. Towards the end of our adventuring last night a fellow human showed up. I have to remind myself to ask her how she got that scar on her face. Well that's allI have for now I will keep everyone informed on how our adventuring goes it seems there is alot of evil that needs to be destroyed in Stormreach.

I hope you are not referring to my updated links (following my Signature Link to the GUILD's First POST)? I was so proud of the latest revision :( ....

The 9 Established Guild team links look good (we just revised Tuesday's as the OP has been out with RL stuff). There are two potential teams (three if you want to add yours...) links at the bottom that point to DDO forum members who showed an interest in starting a new team up with us ( I see you posted in one of those, I'll PM those OPs when I get a chance to make sure they are still active )

Our paths have crossed before on the streets of Stormreach so I'll cut to the chase. Of all the established teams the only permanent spots are on the three of the four Mon and two of the three Tues, those openings all happen to all be for the RP teams which is what you seek. As Tuesdays are bad (for your schedule), and as the FAMOUS Monday Night Game Night Team is too high a level that leaves the Cleric team and my PST team.

(established team option 1):
I cannot speak for the Cleric's Team lead but they would most likely let a nonCleric hang around for a while until you see the error of your nonCleric ways.

(established team option 2):
My team is reorganizing and we have three tentative new players in the 4th level range and are shooting to have the full team up and running in Mid August (some of us may run ALTS for a while). So now is not a bad time to get in with us as the team reforms as most positions are still in flux. We are RP and play PST so I believe that would be a great fit for you and if you wish to bring the thief I'm sure we could lock that slot up for you. Also I believe you are a new player, honestly pretty soon the content from here on will be new to me too!

Master Thalion,

The cleric team is losing followers and is more than willing to join any other teams that need our services. Just send me a PM with the days and times and I will see if myself or Nezumi are availible. Or option 2 would be to let Non-Clerics (ie. Bards or Pallys) join our group as long as they are holy men or women

I'll try to get her to a your level (4) so that I can join you asap. I'll send you a private message here or a tell in-game when she's close to level 4, ok? But do count me in.

So ennyway, were was I ? Oh... oh yes.....

The MNGN Dedicated Team, having had the fortune (good er bad, dependin on your stance I spose) of our regular meetins being completely disrupted by multiple Festivus celebrations, is scheduling additional nights. We are on now, as in Wednesday, 8-11pm EST, and Friday, same time. We will be short (NO DWARF JOKES ELRON!) and would certainly welcome any refugees from other dedicated Teams who are sharing a similar fate. We are level 8-9, but the purpose of our missions may vary if other levels wish to join. We can look ta redo some jobs that have already been accompished by others not in attendance, we can do some more, err, menial tasks, ta gain favor with a house, whadever!

SO, be there or, uh..... be somewhere else, but have a Fabulous Festivus!

Just a couple quick notes:
1 - I have a 5th level bard (currently not in a group) to assist any upcoming recruit for our brotherhood. (Aereg is a dedicated team member)
2 - I believe we should train on lower level quests until we reach level 10, then resume attempts on the higher level ones. This should give us the added punch we need since we are currently a member short. (running 5 instead of 6 party members)
3 - I also think we should each submit a list of quests we would like to revisit (or visit if we missed them)... when we are goal oriented we tend to chase down those goals in an efficient and tenacious manner. (hey, we got dwarves... what ya expect? hehe)

cheers!

Hi Carth, you were in my group way back when, you were Wizard # 2 and we are now on #5. We joke about the spot being like Spinal Tap drummers. We have only 4 members right now so we do have 2 spots open. We are however level 7, is Carth still level 3?

Dedicated Team Guild Members have been assisting with the patrol of the Marketplace, and have also been posted near the bank.

The enemy will move again.... it is believed that they are now in final preparation for their ultimate counter-strike this weekend on the eve of Sar (Saturday 8:30 PM EST).

All teams are to report to the Marketplace and begin forming squads to meet this evil head on!

I posted a few picture links of us at the event in the Guild Matchup Forum (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=116792) I thought I had plenty of pics ( considering the lag I had plenty of time, right  ) but only got a few good ones. I was truly disappointed I didn't get a picture of Theft Standing on Verlan's shoulders while attacking the portal directly :( I wanted that one! Oh here is one more Yes I suppose Planar Gateway  is out of range (http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w8/fred9869/pub/out-of-range.jpg)

Team Leads/Officers remember feel free to update the ingame Guild MOTD and please send me any updates to your teams status/availabilities or other changes that you would like reflected in the First Post here.

All Guild Members are welcome to post in this thread also.

Any players looking to join an established team ( or start a new one ) on Sarlona check the first post in this thread for all the teams last known status and to learn more about us.

We also have a fledgling branch of the Dedicated Teams Guild forming on the Thelanis shard.

I moved Ardoon over from the Forsworn RP guild last night to take over from Hieronymus for my group. If you get a chance can you give him Officer Status next time you’re in game? Thanks in advance.

I’ll probable move Hieronymus over to Forsworn RP to replace Ardoon over there as one of my freelance RP characters, so don’t be alarmed if you see him leave the guild.

I'd like in on a new or lowlevel RP group. I'd prefer my server, the T one. but I'd go anywhere else, will just have to give up on making a drow. my playtime weekdays are 6pm - 9pm est, weekends I could make it till 9 or 10 pm est.

I'd prefer playing a rogue but I could also have fun with a cleric, wizard or bard I think.

Greetings roadkill525!

I know the Saturday team was looking for players last I heard they were around 4th Level.
We do have a few team floaters that have joined recently, they are fill-ins or are working their way up to catch up with a higher level permanent team position.
There is always room for a new team too (hint hint )
There is a new Wed's team on our fledgling Thelanis Guild Branch contact Emanon67 they will meet tonight for the ...second session?

Consider any or ALL of those, and let me know if you have any questions or contact the team leads

Any other interested players check the first post to learn about all our teams and their availability

This Monday night two of the Monday night groups, Beanadal's and mine, will be venturing into the Vault of night to deal with the happenings there. We have room for one more adventure to join us. We would like to keep it in the level 9-10 range. We ask that you not break any of your groups rules to join us but if your group is ok with you accompanying us please send a PM to either myself, Beanadal (Forum - Prain), or Reapent (forum - S1gma). We will be starting at 8:30pm EST so if you join us don't be late.

Hi folks,

I've been playing on Ghallanda for about a week, grouped irregularly, and am now looking for a regular, non-rush light-rp group. You guys seem to fit the bill (correct me if I'm wrong).

Are all of your groups on Sarlona? If so, I will be making a new character. I prefer bards, but have enjoyed playing paladins and rogues.

If anyone has an opening, let me know. If enough people are floating, though, I would be interested in making a new group.

.. and am now looking for a regular, non-rush light-rp group. You guys seem to fit the bill...

Yes we have ten teams running on Sarlona! I started the guild to keep like minded players aware of each other and to help keep anyone from getting marooned on some far off shard ( course there are less shards now :p ).

Most of the other teams are probably too high in level for a new player (and we don't want you to RUSH) to catch up to them - but I don't think our newest Wednesday team has an assigned alternate yet. With summer in full swing, vacations and such usually create at least temporary open spots. Let me speak to that Teams officer...

When there is enough interest we try to start up new Dedicated Groups!

Thanks for the prompt reply! I have just created one Beriand Kess on Sarlona, soon-to-be level 2 bard. I'm enjoying soloing still at this point, so I will wait for either a new group or a spot on the newer team. Thanks, thalion!

Greetings. I'm part of a group of real-life friends that have been running since DDO came online. I'll have to check with the others, but we may be interested in listing our group here as we have an opening. Before we do that however, my main reason for posting is to offer my services as an alt. I have gotten behind in experience and would like to catch-up with my group.

I'm an 11th level, non-rush, non-dps rogue that enjoys RP. I generally can be available in the evenings EST, except on Sunday's, which is when our main group runs.

Thanks for listening,

Happy Independence Day to the US players!

I wish to salute all my Guilds officers and members - we have grown from a small group of regular players to an entire guild of static play teams.

I believe we consider our Guild of "like minded players" a successful and rewarding enterprise and as such I feel a successor needs to be announced to assure continuation of this fine community. One of our own does us service as both officer and team member on multiple groups. I respect his Dedication, and his multiple Playstyles ranging from nonRP to light and higher Roleplay group engagements. That DDO player is TCmexman (http://forums.ddo.com/member.php?u=69230). His overall support of our Guild's growth has been very important to us all.

Dearest Comrades,

Although I will certainly not miss this forsaken scrap of rock that my ancestors rightly fled so many eons ago, I shall still hold fond memories of the associates--and yes, even friends--among the lesser races that I have met while serving my holy masters' will here in Stormreach. Please know that I believe you all to be shining and heroic examples of your kind, and that long after the brief spark of your short life has been snuffed, I will still sing your praises and remember your deeds in the hallowed halls of Shae Mordai. I've been playing ddo for about two years, with a recent four month lay off. I'm getting back into the game but I came from a static group experience that was absolutely awesome. We were super strategic, didn't rush at all, no tweeking/auction houses etc. In all, it was an amazing experience yet we disbanded because three people decided to become parents.

After this experience, I've have found PUGs to be horribly disappointing. I have certain things that I like to see in a group and have certain expectations about how I like them to run. Those are:
1. Strategy/team-oriented- discussing battles or having one player give out the orders for the group. Alot of direction and almost militaristic in approach. It allows a group to take on much more powerful enemies when every action is maximized and every player knows there role.
2. No tweeking, auction houses- the economy of the game is part of the fun but these aspects upset the balance and give an unfair advantage to the player. I earn what I play with and it makes end rewards that much more exciting. In essence, I like to pretend that my group are the only adventurers in Stormreach.
3. No spoilers- i pretend as though I and my companions have never been to Stormreach before. A few spoilers are ok...like after 2 or 3 party wipes. Usually everyone agrees that its ok to get direction from someone in the group who may know the quest at that point. However, I am ok with failing at times. Many times actually.

So I was thinking about trying to start a new group but it is incredibly difficult to put one together.Plus, I am really tired off the lower level content, and twice, throughout my two year playing period, I have started new toons for new groups; only to have them disband at level 11. Needless to say, I'm ready to explore higher level content.

Here's what I have to offer:
1. 11 level dwarf fighter...a killing machine. Currently on Ghallanda but transferring to Sarlona.
2. Very committed to a group...like to have fun and build relationships with my companions.
3. Completely into experiencing the quest without spoilers and becoming totally absorbed in the environment and emotions.
4. A pnp background. Not a massive wealth of dnd knowledge yet enough to maximize my toon.
5. Flexible schedule for gaming...p.s.t. located. Looking for 1-3 nights a week.
6. 34 years old...mature...etc.
7. Haven't ever played 'roll-playing' style but am fiwilling to try out some light RP. I probably won't give voice to my dwarf but I will play like he would act, which is to swing his axes with all fury.

Message me if you have ideas or have a group that would welcome me.

Hi!

We are two players relative new to DDO (started in December), who used the holidays to get thoroughly addicted to the game and now are looking for a (light) RP group/team. I read through the thread, but with it being said there are scattered openings and all, I was not really sure if there is room some place for two low to mid-level characters and/or with whom to get in touch with.

Me and my wife are both playing on Sarlona, our general availability is 7pm (EST) to 11pm (EST) weekdays, mostly any time Saturdays and Sundays usually afternoon and evenings (again until about 11pm EST).

Our current character's are:
Berungar Stoneshoulder (Dwarf, Fighter 1/Cleric 5)
Marenka (Human, Sorcerer 6)
We are both close to leveling, so it's likely that we hit level 7 (Fighter 1/Cleric 6 respectively Sorcerer 7) very soon.

If there is any group/team that could fit them, whether casual, dedicated or whatnot, please, let me know.

thalion

and looks over the team links. Hmmm 8 Dedicated Teams (Roleplay and NonRoleplay Groups) most are full... and none in that level range. :(

Perhaps a new 7th level Group could be started, would you be willing to consider that?
We have a couple stragglers from an experimental looser structure Wednesday light RP group
I have had some inquiries regarding starting a new team but there needs to be one who steps forward as the Team Lead.
You could consider joining Rest in Pieces ( quite a few Guild Members are in that RP Guild ) while options are considered?

Beethoven

Starting a new group/team would be fine with me. I am not exactly sure what all being Team Lead entails, but certainly willing (and happy) to take over organizing, scheduling, keeping track of things and whatnot, if it helps (I am less sure if I'd be the best choice to lead during quests, playing the game only for a little more than a month).

Also, just to throw it out there; obviously any solution allowing me and Mar to use our current characters would be preferred, but we would not be totally objected to rolling up new ones if it need be for a starting characters team.

Thanks for the advice regarding Rest in Pieces. That was another thing, we looked at the Sarlona Guild list but had a hard time figuring out which Guilds still are active, what the rp guilds are and all. So, this helps a lot. I'll drop Rest in Pieces a message.

All those times (Thursdays from 8 PM, Fridays from 9 PM, and Saturday 3 PM) sound good to me, same with Marenka.

It sounds like that'd give us four so far.

Character/toon-wise, I am already playing a cleric with Berungar. So, if someone else would be interested in that role I would absolutely not mind. My first choice would be roling up a fighter with wizard/sorcerer as second choice.

I know of Marenka, if she rolls up a new one, her first choice would be a ranged character - possibly a drow ranger or drow rogue/ranger.

I am waiting for an in game response from your potential fourth player...

Perhaps a continued discussion on the general parameters you'd like to see for your team - so as to make sure everyone has the same expectations for your Dedicated Group. I believe the consensus may likely be a new team start ( that of course is between you, but if so be careful to assure that everyone does or does not skip the tutorial so you are all in the same Island instance ).

If you would like to have your team associated with Dedicated Teams, and we would love to have a new ninth team join our ranks, eventually one among you will need to step forward as the team lead ( holds Guild Officer status and thus responsible for the particular group ).

He steps into the light cast by the lantern held aloft by Thalion, who is showing three young adventurers important survival skills. He considers their faces, too clean and clean-shaven, he thinks, and yet... they seem resilient and determined. Perhaps they will prove to be ....... DEDICATED.

"Aaahhh ... Most Excellent! New blood!" He says.
"I love our traditions here in mind ye, an we shall be keepin em, I hope. Ye know, especially that one about the new guys... they buy tha ale, right!?!"

I think deciding for the teamlead and if the team wants to petition to officially join Dedicated Teams is something we should all do together wants we the group is set. Myself, I'd be fine and in favor for it.

It looks like we have a few interested parties, so I'll try summarize character choices and possible times real quick:

Puby: Cleric
Krago: whatever the group needs most
Fenrisluven6: Sorcerer or Wizard
Marenka: Ranger or Rogue/Ranger
Me: Wizard or Dwarf Fighter

So, group wise it looks like the most well rounded combination would be me going with the fighter, Fenrisluven with a sorcerer or wizard. That'd leave Krago in the comfortable position of having several choices: to my experience it never hurts having a second heavy hitter around (or one heavy hitter and one battle-cleric). Then again, a full rogue is something nice to have too.

Times: I can do Fridays, so if this is the only day Krago can, Friday sounds good.

As said, generally me and Marenka can do any day weekdays after 7pm (EST). Weekends any time.

I do agree with Thalion

How does Friday, 7pm (EST) sound to everyone?

I do agree with Thalion also about the point of throwing out there what is important to us, just to be on the same page.

My other character/toon is about to hit level 9 and to be honest, is likely to remain my main one. So, what I am looking for most of all is a fun group who does not mind taking things slow, have fun with quests and do the rp thing.

As for where to start and meet: it looks like whether or not you do the tutorial, you get thrown out at the same spot in Korthos. Doing the tutorial gives you a little more starting healer kits and starting clw potions to start, which alone might be worth doing it.

Basically, I see three options. We could meet up:
before the tutorial.
after the tutorial.
at the marketplace once everyone has access to the mailbox.

Server: I think we are all on Sarlona, Fenrisluven6.

I have yet to try a rogue. And with the consensus of running slow that would work perfectly as I do not know where most traps are, yes even in WW. I should clarify, that I do not know where most trap boxes are, ie where exactly to search or find the actual box.

I could also do a paladin/fighter build as well for more meat shield support.

EDIT: If the time could be pushed back an hour, it would help get the family settled for the evening. So 8pm EST.

8pm (EST) sounds good to me (and from what I am hearing, to Marenka too), or we could say 7.30pm (EST) for those who can be there earlier. I anyway probably going to be a little early.

Kargo, you want to try a rogue, I'd say go for it.

Myself I am still wavering back and forth between wizard or fighter. Maybe someone with a little more DDO experience can help. What I am wondering is, if/when we get the team going, there is probably a chance we eventually attract a fifth member. What's more likely/common, heavy hitters or magic users?

Alright, WF rogue with 8 int coming up. :D

Are we limiting ourselves to 28 pt builds or are 32 pt builds allowed?

Good question. I know some teams have a set of rules to keep everybody on the same level (ie: no auctions). I am tempted to give my usual TT/PnP answer: you think you can rp it, you can have it.

Seriously though, as far as we (me and Marenka) are concerned, we'd say go for it.

It also brings up a couple of other questions, like:
* what about auctions? We want to use them or say no using auctions?
* what about transferring/mailing equipment from existing characters?

Myself, I really have no hard preferences either way. Same with Marenka.

I would say no buying from auction house or vendors but selling is permitted.

How about 1 epic item, can be transferred or bought from the auction house. Say this item is the reason why we all got into adventurning. Beyond that, no twink.

I would say that 32 pt builds are permitted.

By these are my 2 cp.

Beethoven
01-30-2009, 07:53 AM
Truth to be told, I am actually not sure what you mean by 'epic' item. I was more wondering about things within the characters level range.

I am fine with the no auction policy though too. The alternative, which I'd have suggested is 'only with group approval'.

Two more questions:
* Seeing a lot of us are making characters/toons of classes they haven't played on DDO before (Mar a Ranger, I am likely to go with a wizard and a friend of mine /might/ try himself at a Cleric for the first time), what about if a toon/character does not work out for someone? Character switching (and trying catch them up with the group) permitted?

* We are only 3 (maybe 4), do we want to meet today nevertheless or give it another week to see if we can find at least a forth or fifth? Now, seeing it is sort of short notice I anyway will pop on my wizard real quick around 8pm (EST). Name is Mabrook. I'll do the tutorial with him and leave him at (after) the tutorial exit in Korthos.

Krago
01-30-2009, 01:12 PM
My meaning of epic was like a tome or some ML16 item that you have been saving on another toon (keen smiter, WoP, etc.)

I have made my Rogue, but have not done anything on Korthos since I did not know if we were doing the tutorial or not. Toon's name is Sumati but doubt I will make it tonight at 8pm EST, maybe on later.

As for rerolling, I say it should be up to the group. I doubt my rogue will be an optimal build nor planned out through 20th level, like what skills and feats I will take.

I might be able to get us a forth, possibly a fifth from my friends, will just have to see if the time fits their schedule.

Beethoven
01-30-2009, 05:31 PM
Oh yeah, none of our characters (not even our primary toons) are that far that they have access to such items, so I didn't even think of them.

I was more thinking along the lines of a ring of waterbreathing (in case a character has a hard time finding one) and in those cases make it a group specific decision - as said though, I am fine and game either way.

Me and Marenka didn't do the tutorial with our new characters/toons either. Hmm, how about that, we look to see if we see your character on or if you see Berunger or Marenka, feel free to give us a quick tell and we switch into our new skins. Then do the tutorials together? It might make for a good, nice and relaxed first adventure.

Konstanze
01-30-2009, 06:18 PM
Yeah, I admit I had two items that I was hoping to pass to a new toon. Underwater action and feather falling. I'm a class A klutz when moving my toon around and can't even count how many times Marenka died because of my inability to maneuver on ledges or underwater. :D

Krago
01-31-2009, 07:47 AM
Alright, no twink at all. I have my toon at Korthos and have skipped the tutorial as well. Toon's name is Sumati.

"You ok?" Theft waves his hand in front of the dazed Sorcerer...
"Bartender, I think she may have had too much to drink...."
"Miss, you had better sit down."

================================================== ==
I was waiting in the Bogwater Monday night, Theft's favorite tavern, for my team to all get online and noticed Marenka there. She was deep in thought... and seemed nonresponsive ;)

Just checking in have you decided on Fridays? It might be best to break out to a new team post and set a definite target start date.

Beethoven
02-05-2009, 10:18 PM
Marenka claims she never drinks (too much). It's a good thing too, seeing what puny, frail human she is.
I too noticed her doing that from time to time. Simply zones out and stands there with this empty look in her face. Claims she is contemplating the mysteries of the universe.
Me? I think she is just daydreaming.

=========================================

I actually meant to post this earlier. Yes, it seems Friday it is. There are more good news too. Two more player have voiced their interest (as in, said they will join in). Although, I spoke with one of them today and he said he is sick RL (the player, not the character).

I can be on early tomorrow, so will try see if I can catch either of them. That'd put our numbers to five. I'll have Mabrook on call tomorrow, should we miss another - feel free to send Berungar a tell. I'll definitely be there the whole night in either of those skins.

Sorry about missing you. Hope to catch you another time. And I too will be on tonight. Hoping to start going with the team as I've been looking forward to it.

I thought to add a quick update.

It looks like the group is taking off. There was looting, lewd remarks and other good stuff.

First night was a success, a little short but overall a real great time. So far, the team has four members, all set to go again next Friday.

Current roster is:
Mabrook (Human Wizard)
Meranwen (Drow Ranger)
Sumati (Halfling Rogue)
Riemmer (Dwarf Barbarian)

Hello, I'm not sure this is the correct way to do this; but I'm looking for a static group to play with. I haven't played DDO in a very long time and I would like to find a static group to start with. I'm not to concerned about which class I would need to play, or which server since I would rather start from level 1. I would even be willing to join a group and do Perma-death rules. If anyone has a group starting or a group with a spot in it I would appreciate the invite.

Any weeknights or weekend days other then Friday would be good for me. (I actually run a D&D game on Friday nights so that would be out.)

Thanks

Looking to get back into DDO, been gone for a year. Only had characters on Ghallanda so would have to sign up for a new group on Sarlona. Noticed you're starting a new Friday Night Friends dedicated group. Still have room for one more? I'd love to start up again and playing Friday nights and maybe once in a while fits into my busy RL schedule. I could play catchup real quick probably to level 4 or so if needed.

Let me know. i'll check the forum the next few days. Thanks.

After baiting the waters for a daytime US group (and seemingly failing), I figured maybe this would be a better place to troll the waters. I'm seriously and severely interested in rejoining the ranks of DDO, but can't stand to solo and love static group play. Dedicated Teams definitely seems the way to go and I'd love to join like minded players in this. Suddenly, I also have Thursday nights free, so that helps...

Times: Mon - Fri, 1pm - 7:30pm EST; Thurs 1pm - 2am EST
Type of Group: Light RP (but flexible), prefer no twinking, AH, etc.
Levels: Would KILL to get in with a group that started from 1 and worked all the way through raiding.

Do you realize we have Eight (8) Dedicated Teams running under the guild banner! In addition to that we have at least two potential teams that have been looking for addition solid players.

You have a few options;

A) That ALT, you know, the one that is dying to join a steady group of comrades every week - our mid-level teams have a few openings.

B) Get on the waiting list or become an ALT for the initial level teams that are full.

C) Become a new Team Lead and start your own new Dedicated Team.

D) There have been additional inquires for some new team starts - I have some PM's out to them (let me try and get a status on those)

It appears that we may need a leader to step forward...
Thalion eyes the gathering crowd.

*A red headed halfling woman boldly steps forward, and confidently announces;*

"If you need a team leader for the team I run with, I would think that the best person for the job would be someone extremely charismatic, diplomatic, enigmatic, red haired, small but mighty, completely fearless, and musically inclined. Modest, too."

*She gracefully leaps onto the tavern table, carefully nudges the tall human's plate out of the way with her tiny foot, and looks Thalion in the eye.*

"Now you may not agree right at this moment. But I'm sure you'll see the logic soon enough, and you'll be very glad that you took the time and effort to convince me to lead the team."

* Her radiant smile dazzles the room as she takes out her lute and begins to play a soothing tune. Slowly the human's eyes begin to glaze over, and a lopsided grin spreads across his face...

Queen is dead !

One wipe although we made much improvement and it was close. Then Korhime logged on and joined us, that and some fine tuning on the "Benny Hill" strategy made the difference.
The Demon Queen is dead and we had 2 pieces of Raid loot (Demon Scale Armor and Storm) and a +2 Wisdom Tome.

Connyl, Gordan, Kantarou, Korhime, Mayidil, Mica, Nomar and Tenma

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k130/nedoneill/ScreenShot00000.jpg

So now that we know how to take her down, Ardoon and Shippy (He swapped to Nomar) still need to complete the raid. Also the Monday team wants to take her out with their team, so we can help them out.
We can either try to help this Monday, which might be tough since we have to wait three days to do the pre-raid again which only leaves us a few days to get it done by Monday. Or we could do the pre-raid on our normal Tuesday night and help them the week after.
One other option is to log in early on this Monday night and get the pre-raid at least started before they log on. I have a feeling whatever we do we might not get the full team to help as we have found in the past Tuesday is the only day we are all free.
But if those of us that wanted to help logged in early we could easily clear the pre-raid all the way to the DQ and then get the some of the other team to help fill out the party for the final battle.

Post or PM your thoughts or availability.

Great job tonight !

Any new groups forming need a rogue? I have never gotten past level 6 because I solo alot trying out all the classes and rogue fits my playstyle the best. I love searching and disabling and all the fun skill stuff. I would also be following the assassin line to be a DPS contributor. I dont believe in pigeon-holeing a rogue for a trapmonkey.

I am in central time zone, and available evenings M-Thursday. Any server is fine, permadeath is fine.

Also 2 of us have hit level 20 with 2 more to hit the cap in the next week or so. March 2007 - October 2010. About 2-3 hours a week, it has been really fun. Back when it was 16 I thought we might make the cap before it was raised but we didn't quite make it. It is way more satisfying that capping a regular character. Very fun but I don't think we will be TR'ing these guys. That would take a real long time to level with the penalty !

I apologize all I have been extremely busy as of late - the main (First) post with each teams status and availability has been updated.

Officers any suggestions/additions to the second post of Guild Guidelines?

Korhime brought up the airship topic as we are approaching the Guild Level requirements. Theft went browsing and it appears that he managed to haggle Airship Vendor to something he can just about squeak by on - so when we are ready he will buy the small ship. Then the higher level team officers can furnish it when and with what they decide. Going from Guild Level 20 to 25 will likely take us a might longer to get to so unless there are any other suggestions on what we should do that brings us to Her Name!

Chime in with some suggestions and then soon we will take a vote on it:

Not only is Spring in the Air and our squires and apprentices seem destined to set out on their own ( Capped Teams are restarting with new lowbees ) but a new Ship is in the Air as well.

Thank you Nibel for the expert haggling and generous procurement of the new ship - it is indeed a fine upgrade!

Tuesday Night Team is starting fresh this week with lowbies and a new thread:
http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=306918

We are starting on Snowy Korthos so no mailbox to get guild invites yet. If you see any of us on, please shoot us a guild invite, officer promotion as applicable.

Connlyssa is my new character.

Times will be about 7:30PM till 9:30PM EST.

I have no characters on this server, (Except for a fresh wizard waiting on the dream boat). So we would need to start from scratch.

I would prefer starting on the snowy side of Korthos, but am flexable if a bunch of Veteran status players want to start in the Harbor.

If interested send me a message.

My Light Roleplay group has an open spot - but for half of our sessions we play our higher level group and unfortunately I don't think you have a high level character on Sarlona for that.

The Guild's latest new Dedicated Team is full last I heard. Please check the first post in this main thread for links to all our teams and their last known status.

Remember, there is always room for new Static Groups! Just need to find those other like minded souls

Hi, no I don't have any character on Sarlona. I'm not sure if I need to create one of special interest to the group or not. I don't care for magic casting and would rather play a fighter, barbarian or a ranger.
I rather like playing my dwarven barb (lvl 6) on another server. He's been fun. Would that type of char be a good one for a group on Sarlona?
If so, I'll start to create one ASAP.

Thanks,

I've just rolled up this char and running him through Karthos at the present time.
Is anyone interested in inviting me into their guild, as a dungeon crawling char, or into their group as the same?

Thanks you...

Actually, what I'd like to do, if it's at all possible, is get into this guild as a substitute player. Even playing on an occasional basis as a sub would tickle me immensely.
The whole idea of dungeon crawling as it was done back in the 70's is what excites me so much.

Here's the latest. I've taken Dwarick up to lvl4, got all his ingredients bags in order, got me a 4th inventory slot and have sold a few items on the AH to generate a few more pocket coins but haven't purchased anything there. (Been awfully tempted, though. LOL)

Anyway, thank you...

So a little bit of guild news for my team.

Korhime's team visited a strange druid in the house Jorasco enclave recently and we all killed. Never fear though as a new group of adventurers have made their way to Korthos and where inexplicably drawn together to foil the schemes of the sahaugin there. This new team will no doubt surpass their namesakes and bring glory and riches to themselves.

Cool, I have a level 2 guy on Corellian Run and a level 1 guy on Colonel Tobin.
I was frustrated by the full servers. I will start over on Lord Ieldis, maybe with a jedi named Conn, I am not too original either :)

Hello! I am looking for a static group to play with in a slower, more RP-oriented environment -- why, just like what y'all are offering:D I've played tabletop DnD for years, as well as DDO since day 1. Here's a bit more about me:

On Sarlona I have an 8th halfling rogue mechanic and 10th Sorc. or am willing to start a new toon/class for a new group. "What's that you say? You're running an all-rogue party?! Count me in."
I will use voice chat -- if you want all typing, I'm not the girl for you
I usually faceplant around 11pm MT
I'm available weekends (anytime) or weekdays until 7pm MT however I may be able to adjust for the right group

If you might have a spot available or are thinking about starting a new group, PM me and let's chat.

Hi, I'm new to DDO. I've been playing DDO for a couple of weeks and have a level 5 cleric and level 5 ranger. I am looking for a RP group to learn and have fun with. If there are any new groups forming or any low level groups with a spot open, I'd love to have a chance to play with you guys.

I can take on any role required by the group and since I don't have much time invested in either of my characters, I don't mind starting a new one. I'm free most weekday evenings from 6 till 11 EST and can free up my schedule for almost anytime on weekends with advance notice.

I've returned to DDO after a ridiculous sabbatical, and I'm curious if any of the old timers are still around - thalion, tcmexman? I'm looking to get back into a static group again, and I'd like to play with old friends if possible.

A grumpy old dwarf lifts his head off of a table in the back of the Phoenix Tavern and belts out a stirring rendition of Happy Birthday. He then swiftly drains his ale, calls out to Scully Boneshards for another, and drops his head back to the table, dead asleep.

Which got me thinking, regarding DDO's Birthday.. how long have you been playing, and for how long with DT? Seems to me like a good time to see who's still around, and maybe drum up some new interest, eh?

I have been playing DDO since Feb '06, and at that time was in the Monday Night Game Night guild, which soon thereafter joined up with Thalions Dedicated Teams guild.

From then to now, the changes have been incredible. Keep it up Turbine, and Happy Birthday DDO!

Happy Birthday indeed.

DDO was my first MMO and I started in May '06. I played around for a bit and then discovered Dedicated Teams that fall. After joining 2 teams that didn't make it (All Cleric and All Drow) I joined up with Noneill on Tuesday nights in Feb 07. Over time that team merged with the other Tuesday night team and we continue today with 4 of the base players from those 2 teams.

'Course then there was the Warforged only team that started in Sep '07. That team eventually restarted as Halfling only. What a change. From the Warforged Scourge to the Halfling Herd and now reincarnated as the Human-Drow Friendship team (half Human/half Drow - it just worked out that way), again with 4 of the base members still active.

After 7 years all I can say is, it's been a blast gaming with you guys!
