After the bank update, one thing came to my mind.

In the past, Turbine/SSG changed how the game works during the 1st load/login process. The 'who' tab was not loaded by default and you have to manually select it to start loading all the names.

Then we have TR cache, another source of lag in the game (yea... my bank takes a few minutes to open up on Orien. Mix of server lag with too many stuff).

In short, my suggestion is to make TR cache an OPTIONAL load when you interact with the bank. Place a button there "Open TR Cache" or anything similar.

This will speed up the bank load times and when people just want to take out one item from the caracter/shared bank, there is not need to wait for the whole TR cache to load up.

Agreed. Minor tweak, I would just make the banker have 4 dialog options: Open Bank, Open Shared Bank, Open TR Cache, Open All.

But, and you may find this difficult to understand, this wise and obvious idea was suggested by several people when the bank changes were on Lamannia and yet the devs opted to ignore the suggestions. IOW, do not hold your breath for this change.

I won't and tbh I have zero faith in the DDO dev team. There are decade old bugs in the game that they know about, yet don't give a F to fix. *cof cof* stuck in loading screens *cof cof*

My suggestion would be to add the TR Cache UI and Character Bank UI as Tabs on the Shared Bank UI. Have the last used Bank Tab as the default. This would load the items only when the tab is initially selected.

I say this because we can't drag from any of the bank tabs to another bank tab already and it would standardize the search/filter/sorts across all of these UIs.
