There are Harbor events, Eveningstar, and the newest Snowy event in the Halls.

Are they all suppose to be turned on right now?

Yeah i just did the climb... that seems to be one and done.. get your flask and never do it again...

They should have kept the other skating stuff and just made it another way to collect snowpeaks coins...

Some of us liked the harbor and evening star skating.

Wasn't harbour/evening star skating gone like two or three years ago?

I would agree that the clinm is fun, the flask is a neat item, but definitely not efficient.

I like the Eveningstar event. Also, could have use for a few items from it.

The snowpeaks event that's going on replaced the estar stuff. Irrc the skating and stuff like that in the open world was lag inducing and so they moved stuff to an event that was quest based to reduce overhead. IMO they should've moved the estar skating rink to an instanced quest and kept the event.

I agree.

Eveningstar Skating should be instanced. It was more fun than the downhill although I like them both.

I really miss the estar skating thing. I only did it the last few years it was open. I don't really see why we can't have all of these things, you know?

Hang up the ice skates?

NEVER!

Please, come up w another skating event. The speed alone was a fun change of pace, and the boosted jumps off the ramps were as well.

Very disappointed that the skating has been discontinued in Eveningstar. It was one of my more enjoyable guilty pleasures in Dungeons & Dragons Online. If a new instance is required to reduce lag, than by all means let us have a new instance! And, if a new instance is required, why not add supplemental locales for the skating enthusiasts! Maybe a speed skating course around Meridia ... ?

You get your flask... nice. But how?! I just wasted more than two hours trying to complete this Climb quest... and I completed it, though I hate Mario-games. However, none of the chests, including the final one, had anything like a flask, just useless coins.

Really, devs? Really?!!

The flask is round the back of the house, off the main route to the top

As someone not good with jump puzzles it took me 4 or 5 hours last time round to teach myself how to complete the climb vaguely efficiently. Time and practice make it much more possible, for me at least. My first completion was after 2 hrs. I got it down to ~15 mins by the end.

I agree with your comment re Mario skills. Quests like this also are impossible for any player who doesn't have a 100% reliable, zero-lag ISP connection. :p

best event was the harbor jump IMHO. It was hilarious seeing folks fail, stuck in the water, some newbie trying it without skates...The downside was the abundant step shortcut to the purple coin and of course the LAG monster making you miss stuff. I would use a teleport scroll to get back to the top quickly.

Let us note that this was a way (icy burst) to buff lootgen weapons which are still underused save in low levels in general so outside festival solar, what is there? I liked too that jump specialists would sell icy burst kits for plat (that would be AS now but hey who cares, it will not happen).

I think they should bring back the harbor jump if nothing else, remove the purple coin's closeness to the tavern to get rid of cheat jumps to it. Just put it in the end of the final ramp.

Oh, so, waste more than 2 hour for go to end not enough to get single reward for which this challenge is even performed?! I still have to guess in some way where exactly the reward is stored?!!

I cannot call this design not only good, but even unsatisfactory. This is the worst challenge in the whole game, literally. If the developer who proposed such a solution worked for my company, he would have already been fired.

Hey, devs, you owe me 2 hour of life and my flask!

And yea, all old winter events was much, much better.

I fell off about 6 times, but i still got it done in about 10 min.

Evening star skating was the best

I just "participated" in the Snowpeaks Festival. To say that this "event" is underwhelming would be a vast understatement. The Eveningstar skating event was fun, Fun, FUN. The Snowpeaks climb was more chore than challenge -- albeit, good practice for a handful of quests where jumping is important. And the Snowpeaks "downhil" should be overhauled into a kind "half-pipe" course with jumps and such. (Something akin to the race course near the end Spyro III would be grand ... )

Please, please Mr.Wizard: bring back the Eveningstar skate event using an instance devoted to genuine, winter-time fun.
