Collaborator quest is broken

The Collaborator quest appears to be broken. I tried to run it three times on one account, two times on another account. The 'wait for the collaborator to arrive' does not complete despite talking to Drexel. You get the speech and he runs off, then the quest functions as normal but you can go all the way through it completing the other objection s but the 'wait' objective does not complete.

You cannot complete the quest and this proceed into the wilderness of Korthos :)

Confirming, no issues on Thelanis here either.

However, I will note that about a week or more ago there was another thread by another poster experiencing somewhat the same issue. So it could simply be the server not loading in stuff yet, or other issues that are more "one offs" than a persistent issue.

If OP continues to experience issues, we would need more info to try and replicate your issue to see what could be potentially causing the issue.

No issue on HC, and I can speak for many there.

I would do this:


1) log in to a diff toon on a diff server (make a throw-away toon if you need to, altho' favor-running should be considered as well).
2) Log back in w/ desired toon on desired server.
3) Get a hire (anything).
4) Abandon the quest, and re-take it.
5) Step in, summon hire, wait for Drexler NPC to walk to in front of bar, and proceed w/ NPC (this makes sure you are not moving "too fast", just in case that was the problem)

If that fails, then your option is to have a different account start the quest before you step in (this can be a diff party, or an alt account - F2P accounts are, well, free). This latter may be faster/more convenient, depending.

This happened to me yesterday on the HC server. I thought it was just me being impatient. I'm going to try again later today and will update.
