Helpme find this armor, pls

Hi there.

I'd like to ask one's help finding a armor which looks like this one (Nightforge Plate), but instead of black plates I'm looking for grey ones.
I Know that green loot is random generated, although I noticed that quest end rewards use to have fix appearance.
Can anyone help with this?

This one is the Nightforge plate. It's cool, but the plates are black.

I like this armor because it matches this helmet. I'm lookint to glamer it for my fighter.

Have you actually tried Rough Plate on your male character and found it lacking? The base under armor between Rough Plate and Nightforge is different but keep in mind the various armors often look different between being equipped on a female character versus a male character so it might be better than the wiki picture displays.

Really, failing that, you will have to hunt through loads of random gen Half & Full Plate to find precisely what you are searching for... and I would guess you'd have better chances at levels below Planeforged where its usually the very asymmetrical giant shoulder stuff.

What server are you on? I try all my stuff on before selling; maybe someone on your server does the same. Post on your server Marketplace forum just in case?

Not to disappoint you but I've been searching for a particular combination of random gen robe since Cannith Crafting debuted without ANY luck despite trying on EVERY robe I've looted since MotU. I did see someone in the Marketplace once wearing it so I know the combination exists.

You beeing you you probably know this but have you tried farming Sharn syndicate quests?

In the quest rewards from Dirty Laundry you can get the old armour and robe graphics that are not available anywhere else in random loot now.

Actually this robe pattern can appear at any level but begins appearing with frequency around level 12. The difficulty is not getting the robe base pattern but getting it in this particular blue-violet and gold variation (also comes in white, pink & white, red, dark gray and green to my knowledge) PLUS getting it with the favorite mage collar and backpack and spell component belt PLUS getting said mage collar in the matching violet color. Its that last part I have been unable to do in approximately 9? years of searching (did MotU come out in 2012 or 2014?).

I've gotten this base robe many, many times. Rarely is it the right color variation but when it is, even rarer does it have the right upper accessory layer, and the closest I've gotten to an acceptable color variation is white. Plain white collar and backpack.

I've asked for the devs to put the matching (PICTURED) variation as a cosmetic in the store. I would buy it. I've asked for them to make it a named item, I'd get a Mirror immediately. I've had zero luck getting all the variables to line up from RNG on my own.

SSG could implement a paid feature for us to be able to customize these combinations, I don't know.
I bet people would pay for that.

One of the ideas that I had a while ago, was to create a method for skin creation. No actual method of uploading would take place, so it'd be a palette system. Therefore there is no actual upload of a file. The finished cosmetic skin could then be put for sale in the DDO Store for DDO points. The creator would then receive a 'royalty' payment for when someone purchased that skin.

This way it would get people being able to create custom skins for people, and profiting off it. You still need to either invest time in the game (ergo business model) or purchase using cash for using DDO points.

Then those blessed with artistic creation, could reproduce those old/ancient skins that people are sought after and there isn't anyone on SSG's side doing 'content creation; thus taking people away from other roles. Simple rules could be put in place to avoid people taking the proverbial.

Skins/cosmetics is the way to go, as a lot of people strive to be unique in fashion

Incidentally, I looked over my cosmetic muleship for the OP armor and had no luck. I'm pretty sure I've seen Aelonwy's robes someplace...

But until character slots come on sale, I can't re-organize everything.. (Hint SSG's e-commerce team, it was July '21 last time they were on sale.. )

I'd kill it. If I could have the run of their base/under armors + accessory layers + the ability to select the color (even limited to the current color palettes)... yeah we'd have some quasi-new cosmetics right quick. AND if I could use even named bases and accessory layers... yeah, no at that point I might rival raid cosmetics, that might upset some folks.

As to seeing the robe I want you might have seen someone wearing the Aberrant Robe which is identical to the closest I've come to the random gen I want (right robe, right collar but white instead of violet).

I had the helmet pop-up in Ravenloft arc-1's reward list.

Arc-reward lists with just four pieces of random loot usually contain the stuff from among the oldest reward list.

tbh I'd like to be able to dye some of the armor pieces in DDO like you can in Lotro.

I'd also like to have a shared wardrobe feature like in Lotro. That way i could retain the looks in the wardrobe w/o having to have the glamoured version of armor taking up space in my shared bank.

Oddly enough, the people in lotro seem to think the way you do but from the other perspective, they think that DDO gets preferred treatment over Lotro.

So, the grass is actually a sickly brown on the other side.
