One of my working theories is that SSG really wants to shut DDO down but they're afraid the player base would beat the doors down and come for them so they suffer along hoping a buyer for DDO emerges to relieve them of the burden. :)

I'm perfectly fine with leaving daily gold rolls for VIP, also increase VIP XP bonus to 15%-20% permanently. BUT give 1% (or increase to 2%) per party member for everyone for the game health sake.

I'm f2p player (well mainly, got VIP few times) for over a decade (simply because I've unlocked everything with DDO points bought or earned) and with the above I won't have a feeling of pay2win and I would consider VIP from time to time.

If daily gold rolls are continued I will also continue my vip when it expires. If it's not why would I bother? The only reason I was vip this last year was daily gold rolls. Other vip incentives would make vip even better.

A few days before Christmas, I paid for one month of VIP so I could take advantage of the +15% EXP for VIPs as well as the daily gold rolls.

I rolled 2 Nightmares this last year. lol A buddy of mine has rolled at least five since it was available. git gud with them rolls. :cool:

And my wife and I have gotten *checks Six other mounts, mostly fast midnight, but no nightmares.

I checked last year and I rolled one 100 roll in the entire time we had daily rolls, on all those accounts.

I rolled 11 1's and around 50% of my rolls were 20% or under.

Should add also that none of my 3 other buddies I roll with has ever rolled a mount in the same time period.

I would say your VERY VERY VERY lucky to even get one.

They really should have kept it going. VIP's put a lot of money into the game. I think offering them should just be a regular benefit.

For me I always associated the free gold rolls with a stop gap to do what they said they were going to do which is to revamp VIP. Since they have clearly NOT revamped VIP and are also completely incommunicado these days about whatever the hell they are working on, they should have left gold rolls.

Seriously terrible customer service.
