Weird Issue trapping - Alchemist

Hey all, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I was wondering if there was some numbers I'm unaware of. or if perhaps I don't understand some mechanics correctly.
I had thought Alchemists could search and spot traps similar to a rogue / Arti with the same search/Spot skills

The Wife (2 arti/18 wizard) and I ((20 Alchemist) (warforged)) tend to run Duo all the time with hirelings.

During heroics I was able to Search and spot the traps without any issue

Somewhat recently It stopped working.
I have 103 Search 78 spot.
The wife has 95 search and 74 spot.

She sees every trap; I can't find the traps at all.

This is pretty much every trap for a while.

Any idea if there is a Cap on Alchemist? or maybe I picked something that is preventing me from finding them?

Any Help would be appreciated!

Rogue and artificer get the trapfindng feat. If the trap DC is above 20, your alchemist wouldn't be seeing them.

There is also the Find Traps spell, available on a scroll (UMD 24 sold by the level 1 and 2 divine scroll vendor in The Market), which temporarily lets spot and search work for traps higher than DC 20 without requiring the Trapfinding feat as well as providing an insight bonus to search. Alchemists can train UMD so should have no problems using the scroll at higher levels.

To see a trap with a DC higher than 20 you need the trapfinding feat.
This is autogranted to artificers and rogues, and is unavailable to everyone else.

You can see secret doors and similar things as a non-arti/rogue but not traps!

Alchemist has no trapping ability like rogue and artificer. There is nothing on an alchemist that suggest they are able to find traps better than any other class without trapping ability.

I think I just got confused with the search and Spot being granted.

Gotta love those find traps scrolls, in some quests & raids like master artificer it can make things quite a bit smoother if another player is able to assist with uncovering the boxes.
