An Idea for quicker reincarnation prcoess , is it possible?

So we all know , those of us who have Tr'ed many times its time consuming to do a ETR, then a heroic TR. having to go thru all of that process of picking feats to level back up to 20, just to TR again ...

So why cant you all make it like how an Iconic auto levels.. After a person does their ETR, when they go back before the Life Shaper woman, there be an option on her like Iconic trainer, that saud Advance to 15 ,, but with her Advance to 20.. and she just picks default feats for you and levels you to 20 quickly, like it does for iconics.

Its just an idea..

While your idea is "simpler" (ie. just choose a static path, instead of remembering your last path), I don't think this is going to be a thing. The current Iconic auto-level process likely relies on it being a fresh toon with no past lives, tomes, etc. and you must choose the predefined path.

Perhaps we can go another direction: Instead of performing an ER, followed by an HTR/RTR, we could simply do a combined reincarnation.

For example:
1. Select ER+RTR at the lifeshaper
2. Insert both hearts (Epic + Blood)
3. Choose your Epic past life
4. Reincarnation takes you from Lvl 30 to 1 to begin a new life and you gain both the Epic life and Racial life in one shot.

I don't necessarily disagree with your claim in general, but maybe you need to spell out for me, in this specific case, exactly how making people spend skill points and pick feats increases sales?

No reincarnation, just +1 to past life of choice and + past life bonus.

No need for Otto' boxes, No need for manual wasted Epic reincarnation followed by manual levelling heroic reincarnation or any other waste of time like clearing TR Cache, or other wasted clickings...

If we wanted to be something different we would already have TR'd to complete that process.

Everytime SSG adds a new class or race, we end up TR'ing out of our preferred build to cycle past lives to get completionist and possibly triple up whatever newness life perks were added then TR back into the life we were in to get back to were we wanted to be in the first place...

It just a time killer process... Just give me the option to buy the past life and carry on playing the build I wanted to play.

What does saving time on the reincarnation time have to do with player progression. How does saving time on the reincarnation process affect XP potions? :rolleyes:

A complete true reincarnation heart of wood or a complete true reincarnation heart of blood that gave you both an epic past life and a heroic or racial past life at once and put you on character creation for the next life without the need to go to level 20 before the true reincarnation would be the perfect solution to this.

And an epic reincarnation heart should save your character so you could just talk to the NPC on the bridge between and choose to go directly to 20 as it was if that is what you want.

It is obviously a good idea but it comes at a risk. If they add that sooner or later (more likely sooner) someone will click on the "auto level" option by mistake and complain thus using up CS time. So, they prefer not to risk that at the cost that it takes a few mins for us to do it ourselves manually. And honestly, while it is annoying it only takes 5 mins doing so out of a live that took days (or more) so relatively it is not really a big deal.

This is an excellent idea and should have been implemented by the devs years ago. The idea of speeding up the etr to rtr process has been posted on these forums many times but yet the devs do nothing. Whats the problem?

I'd really, REALLY like to be able to save look like I can layout.
If I roll a gnome, I like this look, a tiefling, that one.

I love my tiefling I made on an alt and can't get quite the same look again, I forgot what I chose.

Need to make a new spreadsheet for my looks I guess.

They need to sell a "Complete Epic/Heroic Heart of Wood/Blood," that will take you straight from level 30 to 0 giving both (Epic & Heroic, or Epic & Racial) TR completions.

Once at 0, you can choose to go Iconic if you wish, or stay Heroic.

I do wish something could be done. I've been doing ERs a lot this year and I basically have to put aside an entire play session just to ER.

I have to -

- Reselect all level ups from 1 to 20
- Reselect all cleric spells in tavern
- Reselect all heroic enhancements
- Reselect all epic destiny enhancements
- Reselect all reaper enhancements
- Refill my 13 hotbars I use with all spells, action boosts, clickies, toggles, scrolls and potions
- Reassign all right click auto metamagics
- Get ship buffs again
- Rebind to spirit binder

It takes 60-90 minutes for me to do and it's such a chore. If they could let my character "remember" any of this it would be such a welcome change.

Not only is this possible this sort of thing should actually be pretty easy to do.

At some point the game has to have the data about what makes up your character in a data structure and it needs to load and save this data to and from the database.

This is where any XML serializer (which have already been written for basically any language you might care to use one in) comes in. It allows you to, with minor effort, utilize an existing data structure to generate XML schema and rapidly deploy code that can save or load into that schema from your data structure to an XML file (or vice versa)

There would almost certainly be some added effort to smoothly hook things up but this should mimic existing level-up UI back-end code and if it couldn't be directly copied (ctrl+c) it could be cribbed from as a solid reference for how these systems work.

The main assumption here is that the game has a clearly delineated data structure for this information.

PS - Even if a character data structure doesn't exist there should be one for the level-up UI as it stores data from your choices before you finalize it. Even this could be converted with an XML serializer to work for this purpose with a basic wrapper XML storing each level's data as sub-element to be parsed as you proceed through the level-ups and presenting you the parsed information as a summary before finalizing as it already does for the existing process.

edit: PPS - If it wasn't clear the point of this is that you can save your build in an XML doc which would then be used to automate level-up choices. This would allow you to either save a build from a past life or to import new builds from other players and/or build programs. They would need to sort out how to tie a build XML to the character, probably through a command line argument or new UI element that saves the preference to a settings file.

Thus this solves not only the problem of leveling from 1-20 for ETR into RTR but it also would allow you to rapidly level up while leveling in your RTR lives.

In short, a huge QoL boost.

I get the desire, but it's a slippery slope to just selling triple-completionist characters with full sets of raid gear on the store... but I suppose ifyou're okay with that then go for it.
