Don't know if it is broken, but the ladders are a nightmare. Not only is the concept bad, requiring precision from non-precise equipment, but, I don't know if it is server lag, or what, but I will be climbing along, holding down "w" and suddenly my character will let go of the ladder, and I will end up falling to the bottom.

Perhaps I don't have 20 years of Mario experience, but my keyboard isn't the greatest precision tool. Like when you are running, you can't align straight, so you have to drift right then back left.

Years back there was a similar problem with a sniper game that was beyond what the tolerances of mouse balls provided.

Anyway, just super annoyed at spending over an hour, in two sessions, just trying to climb some ladders.

I tried the mouse look trick, looking where I was jumping, but that didn't help much. Ended up zooming out, and looking straight down, to get some perspective on my exact location. But then I would be falling and trying to line up with the ladder to grab it, and just like with running, it would overcompensate to the right, then to the left and then you are back down at the bottom wondering *** just happened.

FWIW, I am a fairly new player who enjoys exploring and isn't trying to zerg through everything. However, I typically only have 60 to 90 minutes to play, so to spend all that time trying to fight with my keyboard and weird game mechanics, and never succeed, makes me look for less frustrating entertainment.

It's kind of like with "A Small Problem" and it's Air Elemental hostility glitch (no NPC's). To spend that much time and not be able to complete the quest is a real ****er.

Anyhow, I don't know whether to bother with the rest of Three-Barrel Harbor now.
