Dark Apostate negative healing being blocked by spell absorption (Jeweled Cloak)

So spells, scrolls, and at least some pots ( inflict wounds, harm, etc. ) are being absorbed by the Jeweled Cloak spell absorption. It makes those items useless for a Dark Apostate. I can only assume this is not working as intended, but wanted to share in case it saves someone else a headache trying to figure out which item is blocking their self-heals.

Oh it gets better, you know that artifact from saltmarsh with the Negative and Cold spellpower and Wisdom?
And 50 charges of negative energy absorption.

Ugh. I'm guessing the multiple two-headed platinum pieces (50 charges of spell absorption per) I've been saving up to use on my next gear-tetris jumble are going to be worthless to me now too.... good grief.
