Why don't we have a bags that just collect items inside level 1-3 bag 3-7 etc that collect all items inside inventory from that level that is equipment imagine the organization and storage

As Devs said numerous times, they cannot do it because of the way the game is coded. Collectable is collectable and item is an item - Current implementation of bags doesnt work with items, cosmetics are also items, thats why we dont have cosmetic bags. They can do it, but it would require a dismantle of the whole machine, which would introduce new bugs and took dozens of mandays.

But yes... it would be nice

I think regular inventory is meant to count as 'bags' for everything that can't be put in a container. Or at least I assume that's what we're meant to think. I can't imagine any other way we could potentially haul around over a hundred pieces of heavy armour without putting them in some kind of magical carrying case :)

Actually, a mechanic has existed in-game for quite some time for this. Some items can be converted in an "essence of" item that counts as an ingredient and goes in a bag. It requires stone of change and a small material cost(some dragonshard fragments) to change it and change it back, but the mechanic is there.

All SSG really needs to do is extend this mechanic to all named items. Then I could convert 20 mules into 1, store everything in level-appropriate bags, and never have to go searching through 20 different alts. Its foolproof!

A magical bag of holding. What is this witchcraft? Surely not DnD.

Apparently you are not good at personal organization. You want someone else to do it for you. The youth today.

Be careful with this. People never cease to amaze, or deliver new levels of foolishness.

In theory, sounds like a good idea, but in reality, bank tabs are still screwing things up so...

Or how about a house, can we just buy a fricking house already? Just add it to the guild airship entrance menu, you have a house and store your stuff there....with a 1% chance that somebody can steal your items once a week... worried about it getting stolen...put it in the bank... the current system just ends up forcing everyone to have mules...

I think the issue with that is mythic and reaper bonuses would be lost. If I remember the conversation correctly anyway.

That 1% chance per week thing... not so nice. What if it was a raid item, like the Legendary Chaos Bow, or the Tail of Sulu? or for casters the Sphere of Wave?

Maybe put the whole set of characters (including all alts concurrently) in PvP against the rogue, while the house is under game crontrol, which the owner's stable automatically controlled by the game when the owner account is logged off.

If the thief was defeated, the thief would loose one item out of either what they are wearing or their inventory. If the thief was naked, the defender got to pick 1,000,000 platinum pieces or 100 shards.

The house could be any building in the current cities: Stormreach, Shavarath floating fortress, Eveningstar, Barovia, Sharn, Wynwood Hall, Saltmarsh (town name?), Tanaroa, with a provided purchase floor plan and building entrance.

Why does this idea sounds like Dungeon Defender? Except its a house, not a dungeon.

Of course, the owner could setup furniture, traps and defensive systems.

.

Put it in the bank.... banks have a purpose.... the real problem with storage limitations is, it really does cut down on the number of characters I'm willing to play, or more accurate if I had managed to pickup an entire set of gear for a different class, instead of turning them into gem food, I would create another character to utilize the gear... I can't even begin to count the number of times I've thought ohh that is a great item would be perefect on a bard/necro/warlock/paladin/cleric, keep it in inventory or bank or shared bank... and then ultimately end up feeding it to a gem to create space... They could sell "guards" you can buy in the ddo store to protect your house from thiefs.... or as you suggested reverse traps where when you log in you could select one item from the thief's inventory...
