Tested this today on a male Dragonborn Paladin using a Great Sword (THF).
- Trip and Improved Trip procs the additional whirlwind animation and I can see the animation plus the bludgeon damage in the combat log.
- Whirlwind (the martial feat) does NOT proc the additional whirlwind animation and there is no bludgeon damage registered on enemies in the combat log.
Has anyone else noticed this and/or is this WIA since Whirlwind got changed recently?

Ran into the same problem this week got my Ranger to 32 and saw no extra damage from Whirlwind/Be the Whirlwind. Tested for a while on the ships dummies with non magic weapons with and without the talent and damage was the same.
Female Tabaxi Ranger Two Weapon Fighting.

Great news, this has been fixed internally and is even in the Lamannia Preview Notes (https://forums.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/535273-U57-Preview-2-Overview).
