I'm sure like everyone knows this but me, but do "restored giant/elf/dragon relics" drop in greater numbers on hard+ difficulty or does it make no difference? It seems I've only seen them drop two at a time on hard or greater. I just don't see any sense in trying to farm them on hard/elite/reaper if it's the same drop rate as normal.

AFAIK difficulty does increase their amount.

Yeah I think they drop 3 at a time on Elite+

They also drop from the wilderness chests which are quick to check with a fast horse.

I had 5 relics drop in a chest on heroic reaper today. I haven't been paying attention to how much I get per chest other than noticing that one chest today. I know I only ever get 1 out of the wilderness chests, but they can be ransacked rather quickly for a solid # of relics. I did that on hardcore for augments.

Route 1: Main wilderness Entrance, Bow Master Yaga (if giant is up in that area he isn't), Captain Two Stone (can check from same spot I check for giant @ Yaga spot), Chief Ogh, Uthger Runetusk, Lord Cirrus

Route 2: Teleport to Storm Heart: Tarmoor Stonehoof

Route 3: Teleport to Storm Eye: Pride Leader Xilic, Ancient Flayer (requires lock pick with a reasonably high dc), Lord Ragath and Expedition Leader Brazwold, Supply Depot

I don't bother farming Lord Jax - takes too long
