Were there chests? I killed a couple, but when I looked around I never saw any chests. All I got was a crystal auto placed in my inventory same as they did when you killed a monster 'you loot 24 gold doubloons' ....

Seeing a steed in a DDO festival is just fantastic. Thank you for adding the steed, cloak, and shield. That is really, really hopeful for the future.

I downloaded the images to zoom in and see the details and the new items are well done. I know a bunch of people who really love the Reaper Platemail. All of them will be riding that steed.

Nice addition of new things to go after this year. I still dream of getting the painted skeleton horse from LOTRO in DDO in a future Mabar event; but I'll definitely be farming out the new cosmetics and mount this year.

Is there not a new color of Reaper Plate cosmetic armor & cloak? I'm hoping for silver although there's a lot of other colors that would be cool and it seems pretty easy to do?

I look forward to those every year, and have been wearing them like 90% of the time on all my characters :(

Is there a reason why Revels doesn't grant legendary XP or is it an oversight? Events would be a great way to farm the army of toons some have to level 32 while grinding the mats for this event's gimmick (like the horse).

Very disappointed that this is the second event with higher cap that doesn't grant legendary XP.

Would love if they redid the background music to something a bit 'scarier' or set the mood better. I'm guessing the current music is supposed to be suspenseful and it kind of is but ........ Something that set's the tone better like the seafaring ditty in Crystal Cove would be nice.

Well clearly because they, like most of the years didn't have time to work on any new things or updates for the event... except for cosmetics of course. They didn't even do anything for the new level cap :rolleyes:

the chest mechanic is great the loot was just lackluster

After collecting enough candies to get (from scratch) the lvl 32 Cloak Of Night, I went to Joe Candymaker. After getting the lvl 16 version I realised I had not enough candies. The problem is with dark chocolate pieces and almonds. I started with 2981 chocolates and 644 almonds. I am left with 8 chocolates and 278 almonds. My calculations (and this table (https://ddowiki.com/index.php?title=Item:Cloak_of_Night&oldid=526780)) show that the lvl 16 cloak should cost me 360 chocolates and 90 almonds only (in total). Anyone?

Did you leave all your ingredients in Crafting Storage when you went to get the cloak or did you pull the specific amount out and put it in an ingredients bag? Things like this and crafting can get twitchy if you have your mats split between your inventory and the crafting storage?


Maybe dump what's on your character back into crafting storage and recheck your remaining mats?

OfElectricMen asked about the location of your ingredients because, when used remotely for crafting, Shared Crafting Storage is known to destroy ingredients. Never, under any circumstance, craft remotely using ingredients in Shared Crafting Storage.

We need more information. Where, exactly, were your ingredients located at the time you attempted to make the cloak? In your character backpack? In an Ingredients Bag inside your character backpack? In shared crafting storage? Some in your backpack, some in shared crafting storage?

To my knowledge, storing ingredients in Shared Crafting Storage is fine. The problem arises when crafting using Shared Crafting Storage as a remote source for ingredients.

If you need to craft something that requires ingredients in your Shared Crafting Storage, manually move those ingredients to your backpack before crafting. Go to the crafting station and feed in ingredients manually. Do NOT allow the crafting station to automatically pull in a stack of ingredients from Shared Crafting Storage. This can happen if you have one stack in your backpack and another stack in Shared Crafting Storage.

Crafting from Collectible Bags and Ingredient Bags in your character backpack is fine. I do not recall reading any accounts of errors when pulling ingredients from those sources.

For Night Revels, I always craft from my backpack. In my experience, that always works.
