Any idea if or when the new CC stuff's durability issue is going to be fixed? The level 32 Broken Oar is the one thing I have been wanting the most but am afraid to get it. At a durability of 55 (Hardness 10) it will only last about 5 minutes in combat. Thanks for everything!

Weapon durability has always been an issue for quarterstaffs - Tabaxi Trailblazers get a racial enhancement to make them immune to damage or if you have the tree, you can use the feydark illusionist shadow imbue which will cost you 3 APs but you'll need the magical training feat too, via class/pick on levelup/selected destinies.

Good lord, if I hear this argument one more time I'm gonna lose it.

It's not about finding an alternative solution to the problem. He shouldn't have to do all of the quoted stuff. The problem is on their end, not his.

The items are bugged. We're asking for a bugfix. Straight up.

Edit: not to doubt your good intentions or anything, it just feels that when people try to help others that suffer from bugs by saying "well you could do X for now", it lessens the perceived magnitude of the bug, and thus its chance of being fixed

Yeah, I'm afraid with all the bank issues all the new CC stuff is going to be swept under the rug, lol.

It's just a display issue in the barter window. Since it's not properly tagged as level 32. Once you buy it, it should get its proper level tag and durability.

so its a bug and players offering a workaround will lessen the magnitude of the bug delaying SSG's timetable to fix said bug.

Thanks! I did not like the idea of spending 1000 shards on something that is broke and might not get fixed. Went and got the lvl 32 staff and it is now saying 320(42).

In my eyes, yes.

Especially because they don't seem to have a timetable for bugixing, but rather going by what looks important at any given time.

Well with a little luck Lynnabel will change it - he amended the hardness & durability on greensteel a while back after I pointed out how ridiculously fragile those weapons were.

Correct - although the starting durability was messed up, which I've corrected. Either way, durability stuff is a snap for us to adjust and it updates in place, so if post-fix they're still acting wonky I can give them a lil bit of a kick to hopefully make sure its all ship-shape.

If anyone sees anything else with weird looking durability its easy for me to adjust, so just let me know, yanno? :)

Durability and hardness is a game mechanic that has been part of the game from day one.
And stuff that isn't of adamantium has had a tendency to break just as easily.
Even the mobs in a lot of starting areas are deliberately chosen so you'd have a hard time to keep your freshly new shiney, a +1 flaming short sword, in a tip top shape.
(Hence the oozes and rust monsters are so frequent.)

Anyway, thx for looking out for us staff users.

Yep, it's even integrated into the sound effects which is a nice touch of detail, thwacking a golem or earth elemental is very different from a more fleshy mob.
