Hey Dev's, Can we get some new Special Events ??!

The existing events have become stale & dusty. It is NOT enough to simply add a new piece of gear, a new augment, or cosmetic, or companion to the list of rewards and assume that is enough for "Special" events. The only new development we players have seen is Snowpeaks - and frankly, I felt that Snowpeaks showed Kindergarten contempt for the player base. That event is...... I'll choose to be nice and say nothing else.

Tbh I liked snowpeaks because the grind wasn't absolutely miserable like every other event. Few quick runs, grab some augs, done. Fun easy fast and over.

There are kids also playing this game.

Our raid group on Tuesday and a father said, "I got two daughters that wants to run Crystal Coves because they think that the kobolds are cute..." "Sorry, got to go and take care of them"

Or I heard, "I gotta get my daughter those butterfly wings. Too bad they take 5000 favor on hardcore".

They could turn this into an easy event where you have to fight your way thru some nasty trolls to get to the recycle center lol and earn some tokens that add to recycle cash in rewards so if you wanna farm trolls nonstop, and the faster the trolls are killed the heaver the spawn until Trollzilla shows up and starts playing golf with player chars heads! muhahaha.

I'd like for the Traveler event to be re-done. The Traveler is by far the most intriguing of the Dark Six. Underutilized Eberron lore hurts me.


I'd also like to see a Spring-Themed event revolving around the Court of the Faerie Queen, Thelanis. You have the Feywild Assets, just tweak em and voila.

Same here, it's about the right amount of grind for little bonuses. I try to work in that Snowpeaks Aug at level 4/5, it's pretty nice at those levels. Can run a bit more if you like the Cookies and Cakes too.

I also liked the old Risia event, but only for those nice lootgen low level weapons keen etc, there is still Night Revels Festival Solar for that, which I usually run anyway for 1st time XP bonuses.

I'd like for the Traveler event to be re-done.

I liked the egg hunt. Fun to do while waiting for a group to fill or something, but not with only 3 free tokens.

What about getting x5 Tokens a day, and you have to super-mario around the map. The more 'locations' you get to, the more points you get.

Also the location would affect the end reward total, like doing sands or searing heights.


There should also be a large-map traveler themed dungeon (A la HHoE) with portals to the whole of Eberron, allowing devs to make mini-map set pieces of places we haven't been able to explore...

Khorvaire as a whole, Other places in Xen'Drik, Aerenal, deep below in Khyber...

I like the events that seem go-able without DDO being a part time job.

Night Revels is always fun, short quests decent XP and decent augments.

Crystal Cove was fun back when the servers had more players, no it is a ghost ship when I play.

Mimic is another meh event, I would have to grind so many chests to get anything worthwhile.

The three Ice Based games are each fun, you can Ice Skate, Ice Slide, or just kill fire-based creatures.

Cookie time is just play like you normally would but turn in coins.

Anniversary is fun, but I would love to see multiple quests similar to Night Revels.

Now a Xoriat style Night Revels would be pretty sweet.

Or an Outsider version of Risia could be neat.
