Missing/Invisible Items Following the launch of Update 56

We are currently working to resolve issues that have caused some items to go missing or become invisible from characters' banks or reincarnation caches since the release of Update 56. We have identified the underlying issues and can see the items still associated with their appropriate characters, and a near future game update will return these items to usability and interactibility. There are also some erroneously-created items that may still reside in some characters' inventories related to the in-game mail system improperly sending broken duplicates of some consumables used. These items will be removed in the near future, and are in a different state than the items mentioned earlier. Finally, we are aware of some items that are in an invisible and not-interactable state in character banks related to attempting to transfer items between the banks directly last Wednesday. These items will also have their visibility restored in the near future.

Currently, players should make sure to transfer items to their character inventories prior to moving them to a different bank location. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we are aware that this issue is preventing True Reincarnation in some cases. We will have more information next week about an upcoming game update.

This might not be a workable workaround. I put two hirelings, one gold seal FvS lvl 7 and lvl 5 fighter in my Character bank, after being activated but with about 23 mins left on the contract, did NOT enter any quest or wilderness area -- only public spaces, and when i took them out (by double clicking them) they disappeared but did not appear in my inventory. They had been hot barred and were lit up as if they were active and in my inventory but they were not accessible by clicking the hotbar icon. Mouse hover over them gave the message "that item is not available for inspection." On HC server, character name Stellar.

As I posted to the "bug-reports" channel on DDO Discord, on these forums, and in a support ticket, I had several items disappear not from banks or caches but directly from my inventory while questing. The items had not been withdrawn from any bank or cache after U56. They were a mix of BTC, BTA, and entire stacks of consumables, and they have not reappeared in my cache, banks, or in vendor buyback windows, even invisibly (the number of visible items in my cache matches the number, which I gather is not the case for people experiencing the "invisible items" bug). It seems more like the items were being treated as consumables or arrows that get broken in combat--broken and gone, with no way to restore them.

I have not seen any acknowledgment that SSG is aware of this issue, or taking steps to fix it. I cannot play my characters while the threat of randomly losing rare and valuable items (such as the Eternal Flask of Deathward, or the Stout Oak Walking Stick upgraded with adamantine ritual, both of which I lost) hangs over my head.

Can you please confirm that SSG is working on this?
