Can I lesser TR standard paladin levels to sacred fist?

I have a build with 3 paladin levels, was hoping to use my free lesser TR to swap that to sacred fist for evasion. Is this allowed?

I can't find this information anywhere - but found this in the release bulletin for today which gives me hope, but would appreciate a confirmation if anyone knows the answer:

Lynnabel said on one of the streams that switching from base class to archetype was not a class switch, so you could change any levels of base class into the same number of the corresponding archetype with a simple LR.

However, given the number of bugs, I have no idea if it will actually work.

I know of someone on HC who did exactly this except they had about 6 levels of paladin.

There is the restriction that you can't have levels of both the archetype and its base class at the same time. It could work with a +3 LR? No idea.

Since archetype and base class are the same class it might not apply. It might be that once you take the first class (paladin or sacred fist) it will just force the remaining pally/SF levels to match the first choice. I plan to test flipping a bunch of SF level to regular pally levels as soon as the servers come back up and I will report back.

(Tough it sounds as AlsoWondering has apocryphally verified this ability)

Caveat as per today's notes on update:

SECOND CHARACTER LEVEL - so if you were one of those classes as 1st level, you may not be able to switch. I tried start iconic and you cannot select the first class. I wonder if this is related.

Personally, if you have the free heart on every toon, create a new one at level seven then try it in order to see if it works. Get 7 level of regular paladin and then lesser into archetype. That would be a good test, i would not do it on my main or alts.

I am not certain I can report anything meaningful for the OPs question. I had a SacredFist character and I LR'ed him. When I got to the first screen I had to choose paladin and I had no choice to select an archetype(Edit: this was likely not true.). So my Sacred Fist ended up as a Paladin which is what I wanted, but my experience does not indicate that one could go from Paladin to Sacred Fist. It also does not indicate that one could LR as a sacred fist and remain as a sacred fist as my character had no option to do so (Edit: Again, not accurate).... But my character became a sacred fist through a bug so it might not be indicative of anything....

Ok, I was sufficiently interested that I rolled up a Level 4 pally to test this out. I was able to LR the pally into a Sacred Fist without issue.

My test above I likely could have rolled up as either a sacred fist or regular pally but I didn't click on the paladin button (as that was already preselected) and because of that I did not get the Archetype sub menu. So ignore the previous comment that I could not select the type of pally on my previous LR because I probably could have had I tried.

You do not need class swaps to change into (or out of) an Archetype when performing a Lesser Reincarnation.

Whenever you would take your first level of (for example) Paladin, whether that's in character creation or with a trainer, you should be offered the choice of Standard Paladin or Sacred Fist; you can then select Sacred Fist, and each further time you had a Paladin level will be a Sacred Fist level.
