Cleaning Up Old Connection

For Gods sake, get your game sorted before EVERYONE leaves it! It's bad enough that people are leaving because of nerfs, poor loot, bugs, lag and dead servers, mostly due to the other issues and hardcore. Now we constantly have to deal with login / logout issues!

Yes, logging on to Ghallanda has been very difficult the last week or so.

It took me 10 minutes to log out a toon earlier, not even closing the game, just trying to log out. I'm really starting to lose my rag with this stuff now!

Don't even get me started on why someone chose ToEE, of all the quests, to make Legendary. It was horrible before and it's still horrible now. Oh look, 20 more mobs, oh look another 20 mobs... a million mobs later...

For me, this is a much bigger issue than the bank, or even Reincarnation. This makes the game effectively unplayable for me.

Follow up: To try and clear up the clearing up old connection issue, I logged into my secondary account character (who is in my guild). Rolled her daily dice, then logged out, and logged back in on my primary, which finally logged on instead of giving the cleaning up old connection error.

The secondary account character was still standing on my airship.

I'm not using two computers.

Something is way messed up and broken this time.

We've all had loads of issues this weekend... stuck on load screens, loading character data, cleaning up old connection, banks taking forever to put items into / pull items out, horrible graphics issues, etc. Nobody even seems to care!

Exactly my experience.
It feels like the update has vastly increased any possible lag (outside combat).
Changing from one character to another takes sometimes over 15 minutes (I was patient and stopped the time) and that for the first swap.

This and the bank issues with lost/invisible/missing/whatever items should be enough reason to consider a [partial] rollback to a stable codebase.

I've had that happen on Hobbit-side, tho it's been a while. Logged in with different character and my previous character is still standing there. My boy took a screenie of me poking myself. (That sounded dirtier than I meant it to :D )

As far as current issues - I ran into an issue this morning where logging in lagged then threw me an error saying I was already in world, then closed connection. Follow-up log in was a frozen load bar. Finally on third log in, made it in. Kinda frustrating, that.

Orien is unplayable this morning. Door lockouts, rubberbanding, cant interact with inventory, and couldnt logout. Had to Quit to get out, and it took awhile.

I just got my threads back they the game ate and was going to get VIP but I swap characters a lot and now you just plain can't since the update it is terrible. SSo then I say screw it and go watch tv or go out and not even think about VIP. No point in paying for something if you can't even play?

Even if I swap servers and then go back to Ghallanda the same thing cleaning up old connections. It is Terrible. I agree with you 100% if they don't fix and people can't play they just won't and find something else and the population is already declining.

Then you get the error message the logon server is full. Try again later.. There is no way it is full.

They broke something.

Bank takes ages to open, and if you need to change characters on the same server you may as well go make a sandwich while you wait for your connection to clean up.

I gave up and logged off yesterday. I just tried to log on again just now and I'm stuck on the 'Searching for logon server' screen so the restart appears to have done nothing at all

I had this yesterday on Thelanis. Tried to enter sands and got stuck on "failed teleport" so killed the client. Failed three times trying to get back into the game but after running "ipconfig /flushdns" the next attempt logged me in straight away.

I've tried that, it didn't work for me, stuck on 'Cleaning up old connection' at the moment after exiting the game due to not being able to log out for quarter of an hour

They did a restart last night, surely Ghallanda should run smooth and nice now.

Re-starts result in the fresh game environment being perfect. There is zero lag and zero bugs.

The problem is once a player logs on, things go pear-shaped ...
