whirlwind attack and feat swap issue

ok, so now we have a less intensive feat version of whirlwind attack, however, as a monk, I cannot swap out combat expertise with swords to plowshares cause I took it at level 3...

This is ridiculous. we should be able to exchange any feat we used to get WWA with any feat we want to replace it with.

I sure am not going to burn a lesser heart to do this.

SSG, did you think about this? or are we just suppose to TR and spend money to do this (when the change was done by SSG).

Frustrating to say the least...

You'll have to find another feat to swap that you picked at level 6+ due to the BAB requirement on WWA. Monks don't get +4 BAB until level 6.

Yeah, I get that, but in order to get WWA as soon as possible at level 6, you take combat expertise at lev 3 and spring attack/whirlwind at lev 6. I am at level 32 and I don't plan on burning a lesser heart just to get this. I can swap spring attack, but I want that. This is kinda jacked up. lol

Which, honestly, isnt bad...15 shards, or just wait a few days. If you need more than 2 moves to get WWA in and free up the old prereqs...then you probably have a really tight feat schedule, and an LR (or at least an ETR, and pick up an EPL too) is in order

It's Swords to Plowshares that he wants, not WWA, I screwed up my original post. He already has WWA. Still has the same +4 BAB prereq as WWA, though. And he wants to keep Spring Attack which also has the same +4 BAB prereq.

So you have 4 feats you need to take before L6 - two standard, two MA

Dodge Mob are prereqs now...TWF of course...and then Precision or Stunning Fist or Two Weapon Defense or something else that's pretty boilerplate for a handwraps monk

I'm making some assumptions about his build of course, but it shouldn't put anyone in a situation where the feat Tetris doesnt work anymore. And I'm guessing he already has the first three by L3 anyway, so it should just be a case of swap out the 4th from higher up in the tree for Toughness, swap it back in at L3 for Combat expertise, then swap in S2P where the Toughness went

Bit convoluted and costs 30 shards or 6 days of gimpiness, but that's just irksome more than game-breaking

What do you expect them to do about it? You can't get Swords to Plowshares at level 3 so you can't swap it out for Combat Expertise, it's that simple.

well, they busted WWA anyway. its only hitting 180 degrees (like a cleave) vs. 360 degrees as advertised.

Anyway, i guess I have to pay for it. Oh well. I am more upset that they said, hey, have a free feat, but then didn't care how you got it. I have personally wasted years having precision toggled on and having a wasted feat in combat expertise toggled off (cant have both on tat the same time, so this doesn't surprise me.
