To prefix the post this is a 32 point SDK build that is designed primarily to survive as a solo build to 20 and ideally to cap after that. All suggestions need to take into account that I have to live through the process of implementing them as a solo toon with 1 hire in Elite difficulty.
Where I started: Shadar-Kai Rogue, Str 14, Dex 16, Con 16, Int 16, Wis 8, Cha 6 - All level ups planned in Int.
The idea was to make a melee trapper with really good caster buffs and excellent burst DPS for hounds and bosses. To this end the plan was Wizard 15/Fighter 4/Rogue 1 with VKF/EK/PM *and* HA in the build. This is where I think I may have over-reached a bit in the planning. The build had the benefit of getting a lot of feats early and having those feats mostly be impactful on DPS and survivability. However I have reached 6 and I'm starting to doubt the plan for the next 6 levels or so.
This is what I did:
1 - Rogue - SWF
2 - Wizard - Extend
3 - Fighter - Dodge, Mobility
4 - Fighter - Pointblank Shot
5 - Fighter
6 - Fighter - Precise Shot, Spring Attack
I split enhancements between VKF and EK and currently have 13 in VKF for Knife Expertise, VKF I, Rapid Attack, Undead Hunter, Mist Stalker I, Knife Juggler, VKF II, Quick Reflexes and Deadly Blades. 7 In EK for Eldritch Strike, Arcane Siphon III, Toughness III.
The idea (eventually) is to get high burst damage off VKF Weapon Versatility, Archer's Focus and various attacks including Spiked Chain, Spring Attack, Arcane Siphon, and the VKF melee attacks. The plan is to engage mobs when I know a hound is in the offing and build up some stacks and then burst down the hound when it spawns. In theory this will help me survive the hound progressions that have caused issues for me as a solo player so far this HCL.
However I am at 6 now and I see a long progression ahead of me until I get PM for self-healing. Likewise I am starting to doubt my ability to get out to 12 points in Harper Agent to make the Int really work for me. Everything is working just fine at the moment but I feel like I am at a crossroads and not sure which way to go. In other lives this HCL I have suddenly shifted to full PM for survivability however that transition will not happen this HCL because I still only have 1 Wizard level.
Anybody see ways I could optimize along the path I have chosen? I'd really like to get out to 12 where the PM healing should finally catch up to the rest of the build.
