Some players are non-native speakers - imagine playing this game in Chinese or Hindi or whatever, not even your native alphabet. :rolleyes:

Some players are younger - they are well spoken, buuuuut they may have some youthful focus/attention issues.

But, yes, some players are... well, insert the pejorative of your choice. Cuz they certainly are. :cool:

Definitely, and often such individuals are kind enough to put that info in their bio as being able to communicate effectively is frequently critical, and particularly in HCL. It is really cool when people are courteous to let the party know that they might have trouble understanding instructions. Being patient with others is often a good thing too,

From what little info OP gave this seems unlikely the case here.

I am a VIP, and if I want a specific item on Hardcore Server, I play Normal. That is not even unique to this season. In previous seasons, when I hit level 7 I would immediately run Red Fens chain on Casual, for the end reward.

I left this post in order to communicate the reason I was playing on normal .
and that the room was posted public but had normal difficulty listed in the lfm.
they could have just left and said nothing instead chose to berate me as to playing HC on normal difficulty was the crime of the century and a waste of everyone's time.
seeing as I haven't a choice in the matter when opening quests his point of confusion would still remain as to why anyone would play HC on normal .
his question being answered here as he left before an explanation could be given.

However I am happy to be playing HC on normal and remain alive until I reach level 20.

There are also people (at least on Argo) who don't bother with putting in the level they plan to run the quests. They leave the LFM on normal even though they are running on reaper.

Sounds like they fit the third class of player that I mentioned above; they were angry with themself for not reading the LFM, and needed someone to blame other than themself so they could feel better about their own dumb mistake.

Quite possibly the option to run the dungeon as a group leader was accidentally clicked on. The OP may not know that there is an on/off icon for this on the bottom right as you look at the dungeon screen. And if it is clicked to the group setting - ever - it stays on the group setting until manually changed.

That happened to me until I posted about it and a kind person told me how to cancel it.

As to why use normal at all - a good answer is because it is safer. If all you want is level 20 or the lower favor prize normal or hard are a LOT safer than elite given the accursed hounds. Even if the buggers kill you 1% of the time on elite - you wont make it to 20.

I'm done this event , 2nd death by trap at level 8 I had evasion as well from a splash of rogue in elite group quest was level 8 on elite.
feel the rogue splash with evasion and the reflex I did have should have prevented insta death from a single spike but it didn't.
poor grouping decision to continue knowing the traps were there . i had swam it before and it wasn't like it was crucible to avoid the spikes.
too much work to die from a trap after securing evasion and a good reflex.
feel cheated. happens .
was in the isle of dread prequel swim area. one shot one kill spike .
1st toon died from being over whelmed at level as well by mob with hound on hard solo.

OK but that contradictory to going solo like you stated

Or you say they left group before you can answer you still could sent them a tell they might have even been willing to open elite for you

It happens often that people will join groups because they see the quest they want run but they won't read the details. I often run heroic Sagas at lv 20 after an Etr so I can bank them on alt toons. Almost without fail I will have people join and ask why I am not running heroic quests and not epic. Please not that when I post for these I use "HEROIC Saga runs" in the lfm. I will admit that out of 100= runs I have had 2 without incident of someone joining complaining then quiting.

OK but the why post it on the forum sounds like you are chasing down in a place where you are less likely to get your message across to the player in question than a tell in game

contrary to the belief that the entire community are elite pro proggers in actually most of us are not;

its why we did not need doom reaper strength hounds spawning during hardcore league,
its why hardcore should not become reapercore,
its why the majority of players on the HCL server do not care about the boards at all,

a handful of pog players who take a week off from all responsibility and finish 5000 favor and 400k reaper in 4 days SHOULD NOT dictate the future of nerfs and nukes to this game or its events.

THIS is entirely correct.

Unfortunately the perception at SSG seems to be that 5k is too easy now (it's easier than it was, agreed) so the difficulty must be raised in some other manner.

p.s. What is pog/poggers?
