Hi. I am a returning player. My monk used to be one of the better ones, but that was 6 years ago. I would like to find new gear, but also want to eventually respec my character to a Henshin quarterstaff build. So, before I do that I want to play to/at the level cap for a while to see all the new content. Does anyone know easy monk gear to get to quickly bring my character to a more respectable state. He is a hand wrap, Wisdom build, and Shintao. Prefer named items. Thanks.

You can obtain Level 20 equipment very easily from Saltmarsh. Run the dungeons on Heroic Elite (Level 5), then use the Saltmeadow Hay you find to upgrade the desired pieces to Level 20. With some luck, you can build yourself a 5 piece set in an afternoon.

For example:
1) Dockworker's Outfit - Armor (Under the Cover of Darkness) Fortification +111%; Dodge +9%; Healing Amplification +38; Resistance +8
2) Crocodile Skin Boots - Boots (Swim at Your Own Risk) Constitution +9; Acid Absorption +27%; Cold Absorption +27%; Freedom of Movement; Acidic Reaping
3) Saltiron Bracers - Bracers (What Sleeps Below) Insightful Strength +4; Sheltering +24; Fortitude Saves +8; Vitality +32
4) Amethyst Loupe - Goggles (The Haunting of Saltmarsh) True Seeing; Blindness Immunity; Search +17' Spot +17; Ref;ex Save +8
5) Crocodile Tooth - Trinket (Swim at Your Own Risk) Crippling; Armor Piercing +15%; Accuracy +15; Insightful Accuracy +7

Please see the Named Item Sets (https://ddowiki.com/page/Named_item_sets) page in the DDO Wiki for all possible pieces for this set and many others.

My melee characters always use a Level 20, Tier 3 Ring of the Stalker but it takes a full afternoon to make this one piece. You may not deem that worth your time.
6) Ring of the Stalker - Ring 2 (Cannith Challenges) Deception +8; Ghostly; Manslayer; Seeker +11; Insightful Deception +4
I slot Fear Immunity and a Gift of the Master.

I like running with an Epic Golden Guile for constant sneak attacks but many people would choose something different.
7) Epic Golden Guile - Necklace (The Lords of Dust) Bluff +17; Diplomacy +17; Improved Deception; Exceptional Alluring Skills +8
I slot Feather Fall.

That leaves the need for a Belt, Cloak, Gloves, Helm, and Ring 1. To make things easy, I usually Cannith Crafting those but many pieces will work.

Please see the Items (https://ddowiki.com/page/Items) page in the DDO Wiki when looking up individual pieces. Select the item slot of interest, sort by level, then review the available options at Level 20.

Anyway, if you have Cannith Crafting and Saltmarsh, you can put together a 5 piece Saltmarsh set and craft the other pieces in a single day. If you get fancy, acquiring pieces takes a lot longer but all pieces made through Epic Crafting are fairly easy to come by.

If you want Augments quickly, they need to come from Collectible Traders for Astral Shards. If you have various bits and bobs collected, you can obtain them from other sources. Please see the Augment Slot/Purchasable Augments (https://ddowiki.com/page/Augment_Slot/Purchasable_Augments) page in the DDO Wiki for a full list of available options. If you do not have Deathblock from a piece of equipment, that Augment must come from the Game Shop for 95 points.

Another option is using Level 21 pieces from Keep on the Borderlands (https://ddowiki.com/page/Update_44_named_items). Almost all of those quests are very quick making the pieces easy to come by.

To make a Master's Gift Augment you need a Voice of the Master from the Delara's Tomb chain, a Mantle of the Wordshaper from the Threnel Chain, and 5 Epic Tokens of the Twelve from Epic The Chronoscope, a raid. Once you have equipment, you can solo the raid on Epic Normal (or whatever you are comfortable with) or join groups or make groups to get the Tokens. Depending upon your approach, you could have the needed stuff in 6 days or many weeks.

Anyway, those are some ideas.
