Making a quick post of my last build I played on HCL season 5.
Nothing revolutionary here; just a simple, fun, tough Arti.
NOTE: this build guide only goes up to level 20.
Harper Agent is 495 DDO Points or 310 Harper favor reward.
Warforged is 995 DDO Points or 400 total favor reward.

Artificer for crossbow stuff, repairs, trap skills, lock picking
Monk for evasion and 2 bonus feats
Warforged for better repairs, tanky racial tree, inherent immunities

Enhancement Guide
Take Tier 1 Warforged and Renegade Master Maker stuff first.
Follow up With Harper and Battle Engineer Tier 1 stuff.
Work on Warforged Cores and Tier 3s, plus finish off Harper enhancements.
Dip into Battle Engineer while working on the stuff above to get Tier 2s.
Then Finish Battle Engineer and Warforged.
6 action points available at level 20 to spend anywhere.

Gear
These notes are for HCL but can be applicable to general play.
- Korthos Anger's Step boots for speed clicky.
- Farm/reroll Borderlands spider rare (Treewalker) for the Mantle of Gentle Descent and ingots.
- Use the inigots to trade for the Ethereal (ghost touch) crossbow and the rune arm from Morten Edgewright.
- Deathblock item. Bracers are a decent slot.
- Farm out the Bottle of Smoke trinket from Lost Gatekeepers. Or carry blur scrolls.
- Saltmarsh and Feywild have great low level (3-5) armor and other gear.
- The rune arm in Feywild or The Catacombs are good pickups.
- Duskbone ring from Feywild.
- Update trap gear.
- Voice of the Master from completing Delera's Graveyard.
- Ravenloft free weapon (Barovian). I like farming for the Macabre weapon too.
- Flightfoot Greaves (FoM boots) from Death House
- Phasecloak from A Raven at the Door.
- Keylock Ring from Death House.
- Insightful Fortification item.
- Repair Amp item.
