I said it before and I'll say it again. Different devs have different specialities.

Just because one dev can take 2 seconds to fix a grammatical error doesn't mean it takes longer for other devs to fix other problems.

... if the meanwhile not-so-new-any-more and somewhat picky profanity filter does not allow re-using the old surename on re-incarnation and a namechange (not even nullifying the surname) is not possible, except by uing points for a bought namechange.

Meanwhile half of the active members of our guild using the wrong surenames cannot reincarnate and have stopped playing. Fine with that. DDO does not need active (or returning) players anyways, it seems.

I run to Litany of the dead. I talk to the quest giver several times, i.e., he gives me a new sigil, we eventually finish with I will destroy them all.

I forget I don't have my completed sigil all this time. I run up to Litany. And it lets me in.

I think, if I understand what changed when they did the sigil update back in U37, that if you bring the sigil once per life you should be clear to not need to physically bring it again until after a TR. I'm not 100% sure but if I'm understanding what I read and remember properly (and my memory isn't acting up) that once you're flagged you don't need to bring the sigil again. Maybe I'm wrong on that, but it would explain what happened if you've run Litany since your last TR.

I really *think*, and by think I mean "feel", that the Highest Shortest cooldown between Tabaxi stand still this long and go zoom zoom again is off slightly. The tooltip reads that it's 3 seconds. But it feeeeeeels like 3+. I wonder if there's some built in lagish delayish thingamajig where the server just doesn't know EXACTLY when you stopped moving until maybe a "snapshot" or the time between client polls, or the 10hz quake2 code :) etc kicks in.

I think its possible that the wait on the players end can be inconsistent, and can sometimes be just slightly longer then the 3 seconds.

With three stacks of fire vulnerability, why don't I see purple damage numbers? They seem to never happen after a short while. When I first equip my TOEE level 7 heavy repeater fire, I see some purple numbers. But leveling, I never see them again. I'm killing mobs about the same quickness, so maybe even one level higher level mobs have just that much more HP to not trip the percentage necessary with 3 or so stacks?

Figure these have some unique cosmetics sometimes, so used a Mirror Of Glamoring and made a cosmetic, which I couldn't equip on my level 5 monk because it said Minimum level 14:

So I put it in shared bank and pulled it back out, and depending on just which spot of my character inventory I pulled it to, it would either change back and forth from Zero minimum level to 14 minimum level.

Putting it back into the shared, then back into just the particular inventory spots would change it however I liked, back and forth from 0 to 14. I could also move it from a zero inventory spot to another zero spot no problem, but if I moved it from a 0 to a 14 min spot, then it was 14 and had to go back to shared bank and back to one of the zero spots to reset it so it could be equipped. Once equipped it maintained its zero minimum level for at least one load screen (did not test further).

Accidentally dragged the hireling from the Character bank directly into the Shared Crafting bank. Thought I lost it since they don't show up at top of list, had to search to find it. Oddly you can't drag directly to the shared bank, only to the crafting bank.

Just cycling through 30 or more toons, all but my main in the Hall of hero's (imagine how much worse it would be if all were in a different area), standing in same spot at banker, each one opening the bank.

Causes in game huge, huge, HUGE physical lag, can barely turn, every movement is choppy.

And when quitting the game? Takes several minutes before the ddo cursor icon even goes away, let alone a return to desktop.


This memory leak bug, and the overwriting of the userpreferences file (can very easily do just by cycling through the servers to roll daily dice) if you restart DDO and log in again before it completely leaves memory are my two biggest pet peeves with the game. (stuck on load screen is/(was?) right up there)

Just cycling through 30 or more toons, all but my main in the Hall of hero's (imagine how much worse it would be if all were in a different area), standing in same spot at banker, each one opening the bank.

Causes in game huge, huge, HUGE physical lag, can barely turn, every movement is choppy.

And when quitting the game? Takes several minutes before the ddo cursor icon even goes away, let alone a return to desktop.


This memory leak bug, and the overwriting of the userpreferences file (can very easily do just by cycling through the servers to roll daily dice) if you restart DDO and log in again before it completely leaves memory are my two biggest pet peeves with the game. (stuck on load screen is/(was?) right up there)

Yeah, this has always been happening. For my characters, if I do cycle through them to find a certain item;
I usually close down at the end and start a brand new dndclient64.exe client when taking my character(s)
to a raid chain or a R6+ chain.

It says percentage, but it's also equal to my Fate point bonus on my own character.
Since both our characters aren't Epic yet, it'd make sense for us not to have Fate bonus to HP, but to have it granted than removed sounds odd.

If you type anything into the search bar of the grouping panel of the social panel, for example a number such as 14, by mistake thinking you are searching the adventure compendium instead, then the list of available groups is completely removed. Hiting the X to the right of the search bar to clear the search does clear it, but does NOT make the posted groups repopulate. You have to then select the search bar field once again, and backspace. Even though the search bar is empty. Hitting backspace then populates the grouping panel. Closing and reopening the group panel does NOT fix the issue, the list will remain blank. It doesn't matter if show groups not eligible is checked or not.

Mostly outdated description. They're using the 3.5 description of the spell on items, and the DDO description on the spell proper.

As far as I know, it never protected from webs.

The spell even as described wouldn't protect you from an actual spider's web though - it's meant to stop MAGIC that impedes movement, and the spider's webs aren't magical in nature.

As for whether it should protect from Gust of Wind, I'd say it could, and that might be oversight, but I can't be certain.

I can explain that one. When it "loses" its minimum level through bank shenanigans, it loses the item's level.
The item has an augment in it, that's probably level 6, and the game still manages to see the augment's level even though it fails to see the item's.

Relog did nothing.

Here's a hard to track down bug in the first started quest, the Grotto:

Jeet's can sometime dissappear. He won't show up to disarm the trap. Running back you will not find him. However, a log off and back on will load him back into the world. He will be standing at the unlocked door, waiting for you to unlock it even though you already did.

This is a hard one to reproduce. I think he is getting stuck on/around the pool of water, depending on where his final position is after the fighting is done. I'm leaning on him being too CLOSE right now, since I can't make him do it no matter where he is far away.

You have to recall and restart the quest to complete if it happens.
