View Full Version : Problems with throwers being ignored.
Recently people have complained that it seems throwing speed has been reduced, with no acknowledgement. Also, for years IPS has not worked with paralyzing weapons and other proc items. Which has been posted multiple times, always to be ignored. If you never intend to address or fix issues with throwing attacks, why not just remove the feats and weapons from the game so people know they are not supposed to play them.

We have heard a few people talking about this, yes. So far, internal developer and QA investigation has turned up nothing, and none of the information we've gotten in bug reports has lead to any leads, concrete evidence that it's lower than it used to be, or any specific thing that would give us a new angle to look at it from. The sum total of the information we have is "Some players are saying that throwing speed got slower by an unknown amount sometime within the last six months".
We're still buckling down to get Isle of Dread out the door, but if we find any new information on the subject that could shine some light on it, we'll take some more time to investigate when we can.
Short version: Yes we looked into it, no we haven't found anything, unlikely to move forward until we have something more concrete to investigate on.

Awesome, thanks for the info. It does help to know that something was not intentionally done to slow the attack speed.

Not sure when it started but I have had the issue where when my attack speed is in a Swiftness Augment and I first log in, I attack slower until I unequip and re-equip that item. It is in my Epic Voice if that matters.
Maybe the bug where augments are not loaded into game in the right order is back.
Check where your attack speed is coming from, and if you are throwing slower, toggle that item to see if anything changes.

That's interesting. My swiftness is also in an augment. I will try to test when I get a chance.

Now I've become curious : How do you measure that, actually ?

By comparing videos (twitch, youtube, own recordings) from previous times.

Sounds like a LOT of work.
Would this work with arrows and bolts as well ?
Besides, is graphics rendering taken into account as well ?
