Gear for a Death Cleric

What gear set would be ideal for a death domain/necro cleric? I am trying to get the Necro DC’s high without being a total gimp healer. I will have the perfected twisted talisman. I have a leg alchemical shield and the flame cleansed fury set. Right now I have 100 Wis and a DC of 103 but I have can change some feats. I think that will get me to 106, but I am wondering what an ideal gear set would look like.

a) With Isle of Dread only 5 weeks away I would probably wait and see what that brings before putting time and effort into making an end game gear set.

c) I assume the 103/106 DC is unbuffed and outside reaper. Depending on being heroic and/or racial completionist, number of filigree slots on your sentient weapon and reaper bonus items you should be able to get your DC to 115 unbuffed outside reaper and possibly 120.

d) I am not sure I would use the perfected item you mention but lets see. It seems to make getting +14 wis and +2 Quality SF a bit hard.

e) I will focus on items with DC, Wisdom and Spell Pen. I dont have the time to make a full set, sorry. Hopefully someone else can and will. I am not exactly an expert either so take everything with a grain of salt. I will cover gear incl. augs, reaper and set bonusses - but not buff, pots, trees, feats or filigrees. I am less certain about the spell pen than the wis and dc.

Wisdom: 14 En, 6 Ins, 3 Qua, 3 Arti, 2 Profane [+3 is possibly from Deific III and +4 is possible from pots, ignoring that], 2 Alch, 2 Fest, 1 Exc [+2 is possible but will ignore that], 2 Reaper
DC: 6 en [+7 may still be possible with Robe of Shadow], 3 Ins, 2 Qua, 2 Pro, 2 Sac, 2 Aug, 3 Art, 2 reaper,
Spell Pen: 9 Enn, 5 Ins, 2 Qua, +2 or +3 from Divine Augmentation, Ench Death or Illusory Death

f) The gear you listed provide the following:
Perfected Talisman: +6 en DC, +2 Profane DC.
Flamecleansed set: +2 Quality Spell Pen, +3 Artifact Wis, +3 Artifact DC.
Leg Alch Shield: +2 Alchemical Wis, +9 Spell Pen (depending on how you build the shield)

g) Wisdom

Aye, that adds one more wisdom but prevents the use of the Flamecleansed set which the OP also mentions. But definitely a great option - it just requires a completely different setup.

This build is clearly not a perfect build, but after 10 hours of gear tetris, it is what I decided Upon. The build is also for a full completionist character, and is not intended to suggest that this is an “optimal” build for characters with low past lives.

There are several pieces of gear, that could be easily swapped out, The helm I chose for the bonus to MRR, the belt and cloak are not giving much, quality Spell Pen and Nullificiation Spell power, not optimal, but you get to the point where it works.

You end up with 112 Necro DC’s outside Reaper, standing on the ship. 118 in Reaper, and 121 with bard buffs, and higher with pots, if you choose to drink them.

Evocation and Conjuration spells are 102, with Fire/Negative spell power in the high 600’s. This is not a build that is intended to power its way through quests, but you have some CC spells and damage spells to help in the end fight with bosses, and to help clear trash.

Destinies were split, 36/14/15 between Primal/Draconic/EA. I chose the Primal Tier 5 for the mass frog, and the other two trees give spell DC’s for different schools.

Enhancments were spent 44/24/13 between Divine Disciple/Feydark/Falconry. DD was your main source of Necro DC’s, FD for the bonus to wisdom, and Falconry because I had 13 points left, and got 1 more wisdom to round me out to an even number, and the +5% HP bump.

You can get higher DC’s by choosing a better race. I went with the Morninglord cleric, because I wanted an Iconic Class that I could get to 15-30 Very quickly, and wouldn’t have to use a +1HOW to change out a level I didn’t want.

If someone has a better setup, I would love to look at it. I plan on staying in this build for some time, running higher reaper, and then do an Iconic TR, get back to 30 and run some more reaper.

Using the Hruit's Influence set, gave me a much higher PRR and the helm added nicely to my MRR. 158/101 standing on the ship.
