Shield Defence - working or not

Hi,

Just took shield defence as a feat and now when I block - I get the symbol on the top left its active and it says competence bonus 40% (tower) but when I look at character sheet - on Elemental Defences (none of the ones suppose to be increased by 40% have moved). So does it just not bother recording there or is it not actually working?

Do you mean the "Shield Deflection" feat?

Assuming the wiki description is accurate, it doesn't actually adjust any of your elemental defense resistances (nor absorption). It gives a flat 40% chance to IGNORE the damage that comes in.

Ex. An attack would hit you for 100 fire dmg. There is a 40% chance you take 0 dmg instead.

Which I don't believe is reflected anywhere on the char sheet, including the "+" tab.
