after so many years, this little thing came into mind, and it felt weird. i mean, i remembered all of a sudden, when i started to play many years ago, in a guild that had constantly new people, one of the most asked questions. how do i buy a stack and how do i move things in inventory.

any vendor UI, like e.g. general vendor, it has a banner that links to the ddo store under the shop window.

remove that link, it's pretty obvious that a mmo has a store, and there's a quest to point that in korthos tutorial too.

convert it with something useful, use that space for something more fitting for a vendor, replace it with instructions, just a couple of small lines, about how to buy a stack and how to move\create stacks in inventory. it's fitting and in-game informations about how the game works are never too much. this way that UI interface will appear more, like, a normal mmo vendor UI ...you are buying stuff and you are getting the instructions about how to.

and your game will have less obtrusive store links, because these are really obtrusive, imho.

thanks for reading. have a nice day, my dear community.

As LOTRO, the bottom of vendor windows has it listed how to buy stacks, partial stacks, or 'max my current stack' amounts.

It's kind of funny how things come full circle. DDO is actually the first ever free-to-play game. So when those links were added, it was actually a new, novel, totally unheard of concept.
