...should upgrade my toon to a 32-point build, even per the dialogue box in The Grove!

So why am I presented with a 28-point built menu for my stats?

I even purchased the $%&*@ upgrade for 32-point build on creation. Is that why this is not working AS (supposedly) intended?

Is it because I used the Wayfinder shard to get to 20 in the first place?

Erm, no. Will never build (another) drow here b/c that limitation is ludicrous. Dwarf. Hmm, or Elf.. too many toons... Def not drow.

If you were a Drow before reincarnating you're stuck as a Drow with the +5 lesser heart. Can't change alignment, gender or race with that heart.

Best guess is you are still a Drow and stuck at 28 build points. When you get your second life you will go to 30 build points and then 32 on your third life as a Drow.

However if you choose to reincarnate into another race on your second life you will go to 34 build points with that choice. Then 36 with the 3rd life.

On a sidenote: I've found Drow to be quite good for certain builds, including Wizards of the PM and EK and PM/EK persuasion and all Rogues. I haven't done it yet but I am planning 3 Bard lives at some point in the far future likely all as a Drow, with all 3 stat boosts helping the build.

this toon is not Drow. It is a first life ELF. I know my avatar is confusing but reading helps.

its a lessor heart so not a reincarnation just a respect . not sure if you get any past life stuff since it +5 should be able to change class if multi classed. could the extra point be already awarded?

I have a Level 4 28 Point Build toon sitting on the wings, ready to do a LR to test this out (Have a +5 LR Heart ready). I only have the unlocked 32 Point Build option from favor, not the account unlock.

But before I attempt to do anything there, can I first ask the following?

1. Was this toon by any chance a HC server toon?
2. You said you purchased the 32 Point Build Account Access option, but did you have the 1750 Favor Unlock for 32 Point build?
3. Has the toon ever been transfered to another server before?
4. Was this account ever VIP and now Premium only?

For minor confirmation, I used a LR Heart to update my secondary Main from a 28 Point Paladin to a 32 Point Paladin. At some point, they were also given TR wings, even though they've never done a TR, only one eTR only (which shouldn't give wings, but at some point it did - temporarily at least). But an update or two after this got removed. *shrugs* So some funny stuff does happen sometimes.

1. As my toon is not from HC server either. This eliminates one possible cause of issue we can test.
2. Also excellent. Since I only have the favor unlock, IF it works for me and not you, there may be an issue related to whether the favor unlock has happened on the server for this to happen, and not the account upgrade. Various possible causes for this if true, but it's something we can test at least.
3. My character is also not transferred, so this will keep parity with your character in the test.
4. Not a VIP but was concerned if there was any shenanigans with the store and your account if VIP expired and removed your 32 point access. Since that's not the case that'll make things easier to test. Although one aspect I can't test, is if this (not giving your 32 point built from a LR if you have it unlocked* this was a requirement from long ago, I'm not sure if this is listed anymore but it may be still and not written which might be the issue, but again something I can test as I have it unlocked and you do not at this point) is a VIP issue.

Be right back. Just need to level up to 5 and then LR and see what points I have during the LR.

Hmmm, bad news.

On LR'ing I HAVE been given 32 Points for attribute distribution.

As the primary difference between our setups, is I've got the Favor unlock for the server complete (1750 total or more) and you purchased the Account Unlock, I would give this to be the biggest likelihood of being the troublemaker here. Is there any way you can grab the Champion status on that server with that character and see if that resolves the issue on your end?

Note, that this may not be the actual issue, just it's the main difference between our accounts and characters that would likely make it the cause. As listed in previous reply, it might also be other issues like VIP specific issues, or even the DDO store not purchasing and applying 32 Point Build properly to your account. We've also seen instances of Adventure Packs and Expansions not being applied properly even though they were purchased. But lets hope it's just the above issue (Favor unlock on the server) to get it working.

Thank you J1NG for your replies and willingness to help.

The culprit is indeed that I purchased the 32-point unlock and SSG: New toons on any server (save sarlona) are 28-point. So I get to have fun with "customer service" b/c my DDO Store purchase history only goes back to May 3, 2020. My world had been upended well before then, so I know I purchased that upgrade in 2018 or 2019.

Wish me luck I still have that Store email confirming my purchase.
