No Refunds Heroic Reaper, Min Kill, Perfect Stealth

I'll never be badass like most of the folks on these achievements, doing R10 raids or duo-ing raids, etc. However, I am pretty versed at stealth and I'd like to think that some of the things that we can do are at least somewhat respected by a tiny subset of the forum community.

So, here is an at level heroic minimum kill run of No Refunds. I don't believe it's possible to do it with any less kills: 8 are required to unlock Glastig's dialogue and 1 red-named boss (Twinight) is required to unlock Glastig's Notebook. Somehow, I forgot to talk to the Shop Manager, so I had to sneak back to talk to him after killing Twinight. I go no aggro other than the two required fights, and killed nothing more than was absolutely required (meaning I didn't kill the security constructs or manticore during end fight) which I consider to be a perfect run. I got quite lucky with Reaper positioning, such that I didn't have to interact with any throughout the whole run, which is quite unusual. I didn't get any Reaper XP (under 10 kills) but I didn't expect it to go perfectly when I entered, so... oh well.

House of Rusted Blades is a great R10 stealth run since reapers do not spawn there and the boss is weakened. Use the DDoor hireling, fight on above ramp area, avoid the blademasters like the plague (so fight ‘left’ side) and park a healer bot for end fight. Easy as pie!

It blows monkey chunks that you don't get reaper xps for a run like that. Devious bonus should bypass the 10 kill rule, but I think they'd be more likely to void out the devious option than do that.

Why doesn't rusted blades have reapers? And what does boss is weakened mean?

If I had things my way, devious would give 2x or more reaper points, with the caveat that you can't redevious the same quest more than once a day.

Yeah, there are quite a few R10 stealth runs on my list (though I hadn't considered Rusted Blades... foolish of me to miss it as an R10 contender, considering I sneak the hell out of it nearly exactly as you said on R1). That said, I'm always happier when I get a perfect (or near-perfect) stealth run during heroic leveling through my PLs. There's something satisfying about feeling like you only really have one shot at it. I realize that's completely untrue, but I tend not to repeat quests on heroic. If I fark up the stealth run, it's 'oh well, maybe next life'. Stealth play in Epics is great and all, but for whatever reason, it's a lot less satisfying. Not entirely sure why that is.

Yeah, I wish the devs had more love for us sneakers: RXP or even some ways to manipulate Reaper aggro/detection. Something. There are so many quests that are super fun to sneak, but are basically a low-odds crapshoot because of the chance of Reaper spawns in unfortunate locations (particularly when they pop up out of nowhere as you're halfway across the room).

I'm guessing he's referring to the mobs all being "inactive" until the boss becomes live. Inactive mobs (to my knowledge) don't spawn Reapers initially (though I suppose they could when they die).

As for the boss being "weakened", perhaps he's referring to the 'rusted blades' ("What have you done to my weapons?!") and thus the boss having less DPS than other similar level bosses? I'm just making a guess here

I am not sure why it doesn’t, maybe bcz the mobs are first inert. The boss weapons get weakened as per the quest objective so he does not hit so hard

Kami a fun quest is Under the Cover of Darkness. I just got Saltmarh and this is a good sneak quest. I need to study it so as to do it no kills

1 kill is the minimum. You have to kill the Captain to get the papers on his desk to pop, and they're required to finish the quest. I posted a ?perfect heroic run? here.
