I was trying to buy the 2 expansions and it ask me to log in, how do gift these items?

The easy answer is you can't do it the way you want. They have to log into their account and the transaction has to be completed entirely in their account. It used to be possible since you were sent a code that you entered to add the purchase to your account, but that isn't done any more.

Four options are:

1. Have them log into their account and put the items in their DDO marketplace cart, then when checking out you put in your credit card information (you will need to be sitting at the same computer). Be sure to delete the information once the purchase is complete so that they don't accidentally buy something else.

2. Call your credit card company and ask them to set up a short term one use number that they can then use. Then give them the temporary number.

3. Send them the money using Paypal so they can make the purchase using Paypal (assuming Paypal is working for them.)

4. Just give them the money to make the purchase.

I seem to recall some years ago, some retail outlets doing DDO topup cards - not sure if they still do though.
