Interesting idea. I expect it'll be fine at the lower levels and in old content.

Those pre-made builds are way behind the curve now and could use some refining. Of course custom builds are best, but I would like to see a revamp of the character creation; with new and better paths that are also thematic and reasonably effective. Along with more aesthetic options. It will go a long way to attracting and keeping new players.

It sounds like they may be planning some sort of character creation revamp. I think the main reason she is performing OK is that I've been playing on normal. I expect once I can no longer progress without repeating content, it may start slowing down. Although that will mostly be 2-3 levels over so it may still work. But I do have some hope that a brand new player could progress far enough in the game on normal with this build to tell whether or not the like the game enough to invest more time into learning custom builds.
