I am asking this question half rhetorically; Why don't the cloth Shadowscale armors have access to Shadow Killer?... With the imminent nerfing of the Red Dragonscale armor, handwraps monks will suffer disproportionately from pretty much every other class that takes advantage. Monks rely on a greater portion of their meager DPS potential from RDA than arguably any other class. All of the builds which use the RDA do not lose nearly as high a percentage of their overall DPS as a monk will. We rely on volume of attacks, helpless damage and debuffs. The damage proc is already subject to the most common elemental immunity.
Can we, at the very least, get access to the 2d6 sneak dice from Shadow Killer? It might just help to add some versatility, reawaken a nearly dead raid (Deathwyrm) and potentially even offset some of the DPS lost.. I think this is a fair request and a meager compromise for an already disenfranchised playstyle that finally found some reprieve only to watch a blanket nerf once again disproportinately impact their playstyle..
For reference, spellcasters Magma proc can crit. Throwers can get 400% doubleshot, resulting in 2.5 times higher damage procs than a monk doublestrike. Every melee dps crits higher than monks, due to higher crit multiplier and higher threat range.
And yet, I just realized that this change would only further the shuriken thrower's currently far overpowered use of dark imbuement. :(
