Ideally I would want them removed, but you will not do that lets try this idea instead. Let us hard-working VIPs come home (or from our bed if WFH) in the evening and start raiding.

Good idea to reduce raid timers for VIPS. They do need new perks (they lost one, change ED anytime in public zone, for free)

Or let raid entries stack, i.e. you get one stack every 3 days. So you can level up in your own time and then participate in raids multiple times when lvl 30. (or 20 or whenever). Or do multiple raids on the weekend since it's harder to find raids Monday to Thursday.

I'd live with that but rather they shorten timer for all, like 18h or 1d + 18h. Maybe then VIPs could get one skip a day on top of that.

Remove raid timer.

They gave us some bs about controlling the pace of the game by adding raid timers, then later monetized a bypass mechanic by adding raid bypass timers.

End the BS , remove the timer.

That on top of such flagrant bypass timer duping by so many people it seemed like it was simply condoned . The timer is especially dumb that it starts when you turn in the quest instead of finishing it .

I support this suggestion as written, 18 hr raid timer for VIPs.

They will not remove the timer as I think it brings a lot of store sales, but I will be very happy if they do so. I am triple completionist and I got nothing to do on most of the days.

I would love to see the VIP package updated with improved offerings like this. Reduced ransack, better buddy bonus and a free chest reroll per day are other ideas that I've heard folks suggest. Let's have it all! :D

If they permanently made all the quests F2P and they made VIP way more attractive with stuff like this that lets us play raids more frequently, it would be pretty great and bananas to hate on. Not sure that would pencil out for the devs since new players issues are not really solved by binging raids though.

Consider that a two tiered system for raiding behind VIP might be a little much, extreme even. I'm less invested in 'make VIP worth it again' and more worried about going overboard and making everyone else give up. If you are already deeply premium but not into VIP for some reason, this will feel like being forced into VIP.

Even though it was nerfed lately (relatively speaking only, actually), I went VIP in the last year just for the xp bonus, sort of like when you get over the redundancies in your BiS for the overall tetris.

Yep, if you go overboard with VIP benefits that give character POWER, the the rest of the population could be up in arms. Those who cannot afford it or don't want to commit to VIP for some reason. (IMHO it is a very good deal, worth it for the 10% xp bonus , VIP skip and 500 DP alone).

Maybe VIP should mainly focus on convenience/ quality of life instead of power.... more raid entries = more power (more item drop chances and runes).

There have been lots of QoL suggestions for VIP on the forum, like: teleport to quest if group is already inside, and auto-quest share.

What do you think my suggestion: Raid entry "tickets", that stack if you are VIP, 1 stack every 2 days 18 hours, like current raid timer. So you can raid more than once on the weekend for example. QoL or power ?

But that would defeat the point of giving us a bypass mechanic that we can purchase.

Great idea. It's just the type of thing that may sell subscriptions. I do hope SSG take note. +1

This is wrong on so many levels I do not know where to start. Not all raids have powerful loot or mandatory BiS item to be worn. Some of the raids do not even have runes - ToD I am looking at you. After the nerf to the slayers, Raiding is one place where you actually feel like playing an MMO with a D&D themed party and time-gating it is a relic of the bygone subscription MMO era.

As I said, I would love the timer to be removed completely for ALL players, but since that is not happening, I would like to have it as a VIP perk to reduce the timer so we can play daily.

Also, something I thought already, the raid timers are basically a relic from the past when we had only a few raids in DDO.
Maybe it makes sense to have a few hours cool down so there is an incite to run different raids and maybe a new raid could have an 18 hours cool down but 3 days is too much nowadays.

Agree. And start the timer on raid completion. From all of us who don’t turn things in .

Don’t forget housing with bta storage and btc storage, preferably in chests that can be named to indicate what is being stored in them.

How long has it been since they said they needed to increase the VIP value? They have certainly found new ways to charge more money for things, but VIP is still not really up to the gaming standards for a free to play game across the industry. Most games now have some sort of progressive rewards for folks who log in daily. Like a monthly daily log in that has a nice reward at the end of the moth for folks who log in every day. DDO, yeah you get a daily dice roll and 1 gold roll per week. Pretty weak.

I like the idea of raid timers being reduced but they need to do something. This is yet another reason why folks get frustrated with this game. This is not one of those "it's too hard for us to fix" excuses like the lag. Even an increase of monthly points would be appreciated. There has been nothing, no mention of anything coming or changes being discussed since we heard from the Producer's mouth that VIP needs to be increased.

Yep a daily / weekly / monthly login reward would be nice, the gold roll is only once per week and often very useless (~10k plat? bigbys hands? couple of cannith essence?)

Also increase xp for VIPs or the vip xp bonus per member -> good for grouping

Personally I have nothing against reducing raid timer either or even remove for VIP, ( it's just that some people argue "pay to win" ?). Chest ransack exists too after all, so you can't go more than 8 times per week.

Speaking of chest ransack, more chests before ransack for non-raid quests (at least on older content) would be nice for VIPs too, if not complete ransack removal for non-raid quests (for older content)

Agree with increasing value but please don't put in rewards for things like "consecutive days logged in".

I want to live my life and not have some arbitrary goal like that to worry about.

Much rather have more value in the time I decide to play than "daily goals".
