I found this off the beaten path in the new challenge before it was closed. It was just sitting on a platform located on a path that leads up and behind the palace near the top of the challenge just before the final flag checkpoint. I was only able to complete one run before it was closed and could not verify if it's always there or in the same location each time. Here is a highlight from my Twitch stream today that shows the exact location https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1278250424

That's a nice item to find.
I hope there are multiple different things that can be found there.
+ if "only" this sunflask drops there, it at least will give you some sentient xp, which is worth the detour + effort.
Anybody found anything else there?

Could someone describe what’s new about the event this year?
Last year it was a ski ramp for coins.
Is there a new quest or combat challenge this year?
Does one key let you choose between the ramp or a quest?

This year there is a Mario-esque jumping challenge through an icy landscape. All while chasing monkeys who leave grease effects behind and bare the names of the developers. Once you catch them you shake them for additional coins and catharsis.
They added some new rewards as well.
PS - Some of this information may be less true than the rest.

Hope it is still somewhere when climb re-opens.

Apparently the bug is that if you fell there wasn't a teleport action working correctly. I think that is all we know for now.

I had mild anxiety just watching this... I believe I will take your advice and stick to the bunny slope. Not that at the current key rate I will even get to see that much. 3 days of play, ~roughly 8 hrs total and only 5 keys for me, 5 for hubby, 6 for son. Last year "Frozen Keys can also be found in chests throughout the game while the event is active, but at a rarer rate." Seems like they reduced that rate because in 3 days only one key has dropped in a regular chest to any of us.

I need this.
I must have this.
It made it to my list of items to look out for, foreshore.
Got any ideas of what type of character you can build around it?
And what good offhand weapons/items are that carry over procs to this?
Oh, any suggestions for the augments/filigrees?

Thx for posting this. That running around in the clouds at the end is stunning.
To bad, no legendary sword of shadows.... maybe a Legendary Gloaming Philter next time?

Just ran the quest and got a flask for my character. Thanks Voodu.
For those thinking Sentient XP, the flask cannot be used for sentient xp.

Yep... no. This item can not be consumed.

Was thinking it might work like Rose Colored and just give a lesser amount: could have made the climb worth running. Oh well.
Uses the visual effect and velocity, but not the throwing arc of sun flask which is interesting.

Nice video .. What was your jump at when doing this? I'm currently at 65 - and my guy doesn't jump like yours.

I did it at 58 but max jump for any benefit is 40 so anything over that doesn't matter.

Perhaps race (hit box) is of some effect.
For some part I had to use some skill/str boost spells to be able to make it while under the effect of a +40 jump pot.
So there is something going on for sure.

Anybody out there that found a good use for this item?
I used it on a sun cleric, Sharn part 1, and this is what I found:
- It has a weird downward and straight line "fall" when you throw it.
- It has a very slow travel speed, monks with their steps will surpass it for sure.
- Damage is low when used on a not-thrower build.
- Its single target and damage is single target as well.
- It does not follow the hard target.
- Because it does not follow the target and it so you'll miss mobs more often then you even get a roll for a hit.
- It can light up some wooden furniture and set it on fire. The item itself is made of wood... I know magic/fantasy and all so whatever, still wood does not break so easy and it should be burning. It says light drops from within, see-through-wood does exist but again whatever.
- Untargeted mobs do not get hit with anything. The point of throwing a "flask" instead of a normal dart is AoE vs single target.
- The brilliance of the shattered sun has a low proc rate, does go off on spells, enemies do not get blinded not even from the "shattering" of the flask.
- I found it best to just keep throwing the flasks around and hope I'd hit something.
I'm eager to read up or see some video of a special thrower build that has found a better use for this item than I have.
So far the best thing of it is the stacking of a sun blast effect on your spells. Even if just for the visuals. Does it proc on warlock's cantrips?
