Any chance of an ES commendations gear pass?

+7 ability and +2 insightful ability were fine at the time, but with random gear giving +9/+4 at level 20 it might make some of the items of more interest for early epics, and augment slots wouldn’t be out of place. Adding PRR/MRR and melee/ranged/spell power bonuses on the set bonus could give some different gearing options vs riding a heroic sharn set until the bitter end. As it is though most of the MOTU gear is just sentient XP at this point.

This idea was triggered by an epic TR on a deep alt character who saw a ridiculous jump in power between level 20 (mix of commendation gear, ToD rings, green steel, etc) and 21 just by throwing on a handful of borderlands items that drop like candy. Sorry if this has been previously suggested/addressed - I didn’t find anything.

Props to the heroic - epic - legendary progression on other gear, it’s done wonders for my ability to use more alt characters without some truly miserable farming under the old S/S/S model. Making alts more viable seems to be good business if it drives purchase of consumables and storage.

On the flip side some items like the Purple Knight Gauntlets ( which has better healing amp than level 30 items ) would probably end up being nerfed by a gear pass.

I *just* noticed the ES gear didn't get the stat adjustments that everything else got with U51 and those gloves in particular. I almost included them in my new L20'ish Epic ETR set for all that ridiculous Hamp, but decided to use CC gloves instead.

That much Hamp at L20 really is ridiculous today. They'll almost certainly jump on it fairly soon -- "restatting" ES for U51 shouldn't be a big job.

Hopefully they don't just restat them but remember to give them augment slots as well. Actually, I'm hoping there is a push at some point to restat the remaining N/H/E/EN/EH/EE BTCoE gear that also makes it just one version for heroics and one for epics with only the increased chance for looting rising with difficulty for the sake of consistency.

Hah, now that's a crusty tooltip. I've gone ahead and made that a little less, well, 2014.

As far as the Commendations gear goes, right now we're really busy working on other very cool stuff, but in the meantime we can at the very least make those specific Commendations themselves BTA rather than BTC.

I'd love to see Cannith challenges all expanded to 30 - they scale themselves, don't they, so the aren't the caps just arbitrary?

I'd love a MoTU gear pass...my favorite expansion. Shadowfell would be nice too. The gear in both is really underwhelming now, especially since the S/S/S gear pass which left it even further behind. Hope the devs can make the time to do it at some point this year.
