View Full Version : tiny Reaper changes with BIG effect

I like the Lost Souls in Reaper and the Reapers themselves, but they do little for non-casters. So, a couple tiny changes:


Souls always & only drop from Reapers
Souls restore BOTH SP & HP
Souls are like remnants; ie. everyone can snack on the same soul exactly once
Souls scale on Reaper size (more sp/hp from Vengeance and MORE from Doom)

Another alternative use for Souls is to have them also recharge reaper tree ability uses. I thought suggesting HP+SP was enough of a gain already, though. I've always thought it rather odd that Souls weren't exclusive drops from Reapers, who presumably are soul-collectors.

Dooms should drop frags ala remnants

1) Reapers should drop reaper fragments ranging from 1-10 based on the reaper (10 frags for Doom and Vengeance). I am just running reaper with 100s of reaper points with no significant rewards or improvement to the character and I am sure many are in the same boat.

2) Reaper points should be account-based, similar to paragon system in D3.

3) Healing penalty must be removed in reaper, similar to LOTRO system (which works super fine and balanced before anyone jumps in with their pickets).

Or just remove souls entirely. Remember how reaper is a challenge mode ? Why is it made easier randomly ?

If anything put lost souls in casual mode

Reaper is a cash cow mode.

A single soul does much more for someone with 300 spell points max than someone with 8000 spell points max.

Also, a single soul lets someone heal up a team member to full while a single soul does not do much for the spell point pool of a drained caster.

Thus I disagree with your assesment of the value of souls.
