...of six melee style hybrid pale masters, all within each others' Death Aura, beating down creatures on high reaper settings, totally invulnerable because of the sheer amount of incoming healing.
Would it work?

I had this dream but guildie said, "I will never bow to your evil!"
I can dream though.

Can probably do the same better with EA Aura in epics. Just make a bunch of human paladins with some healing gear and you will be invulnerable to lag deaths.

With enough investment, it could. You would have to get all of them over the OHKO threshold though, or it will come crashing down at the worst possible time.
I've done runs with multiple undead melee types and it was a lot of fun. If you're on high reaper, though, you probably want a palemaster caster for cc and for really high burst healing.

Don't forget 4-piece Darkhallow fili set for more healing on every melee hit.
It probably would work, just not as well as 6 Alchemists, all with the Apothecary capstone Genius Never Dies +1000 unconscious range, +350 more unconscious range from Fury, all in the Exalted Angel mantle with triple stacking healing amp items and max positive spell power, light armor with evasion using ASF reduction and Nystuls filigrees, 4-piece winter set.

I've seen some foreign guilds do this who play together in off times where they can't find a healer. Was in a 5 RM party that walked through R10.

IIRC, there are a few PM groups on Cannith that do high reaper stuff. I stumbled on one once with one of my PM chars. It was oddly reminiscent of playing GW2, a game where many classes have buffing auras and so every single group is a little ball of zergers, much like munchkins playing soccer.

Sure it can work,
I don't think it's better than a group of 6 fleshy characters though if you look at other defenses, dps, etcl. The biggest benefit is immunity to horrid wilting which is one of the biggest sources of one-shotting in R10s.
