Quick question while all ability tomes are on 75%(!) discount...

So, if a character has some (but not all) +# tomes applied, and applies a Supreme "# -> #+1" Upgrade Tome, those existing tome values get upgraded by +1, check.

If that character later gets another +# in one of the other stats - will the Upgrade tome be applied retroactively? On TR? Sorry outa luck?

Or do you need to have all stats at +# before applying a Supreme +#+1 tome?

(I guess this question could apply to either Ability or Skill tomes)

Supreme ability upgrade tomes actually split out into 6 X+1 upgrade tomes (1 for each stat, so eg +4 to +5 supreme ability upgrade tome will be STR +4 to +5, DEX +4 to +5 etc) when you first activate them, which you then need to apply individually - a bit of a long winded way to do it, but has the advantage of letting you split the upgrades among multiple characters by passing through the bank if funds are tight.

So you can just bank the unused ones and apply later as you get +4 - nice!

(I'd hate to have to bank a Supreme Skill set! )

thx!

Unless you already have all stats at the same tome bonus, it's usually better to get the straight stat tome rather than the upgrade. So if you have all +7s already, the 7-> 8 is the better deal. But if you have 3 +5s, 1 +6 and 2 +7s, just get the +8 supreme tome and bump all of them without the intermediate steps that depend on a great deal of drop luck.
