Tome of fate (historic)

My toon had old +3 tome of fate and all epic PLs. When update 51 hit, I started of with 22 permanent destiny points. If I use this tome on this toon, will it increase my permanent destiny points by 1? Is there anything else I should now about this tome? Thanks.

If you don't have any fate tomes already read by this toon, then yes, +3 tome of fate will provide you with 3 fate points, which will translate into exactly 1 permanent DP.

If you already have +1 or +2 fate tome read, then you will only get the difference.
it might or might not be enough for a new DP, depending on whether your fate points total raises to the next breakpoint (you get 1 DP for every 3 fate points)
