Hardcore Server Downtime Notice: Thursday, December 2nd 6:10 PM Eastern (-5 GMT)

The Hardcore server has reopened.

The Hardcore server will be brought down for some maintenance work at 6:05 PM Eastern (-5 GMT) on Thursday, December 2nd. We will let you know when the worlds reopen, and we expect the downtime to take about an hour. This is related to some internal configurations that need to be made and does not include any changes to the game.

That last one (about 20 minutes ago?) was a bad one, couldn't log out, almost died when it all rubber-banded back. :(

I think this is the 3rd time I have logged into Hardcore, only to have the servers go down 2-5 minutes after logging in. UGH

what changes since Hardcore season 4 are causing the excessive lag?

I was soloing a quest earlier and my game froze for at least 3 minutes? That's worse than season 3!

Could the devs also change the HC reward colours a bit. I know it’s just the same as season 1 but that’s so lazy. Make the footprints rainbow and cape green maybe. People will love them and the old timers will be happy that already got them

No changes. They need to fix problems first.

The problem is in HCL server clearly. None of the other servers are being brought down. Maybe old worn out hardware :P.

I know right, I have all the rewards from season 1, there is no reason for me to pay the gobs of money this season.

If they had changed the colors, even of the cloaks, I would have played. And paid.

Oh well, opportunities lost and all. I guess I don't need another bank toon with + 8 supreme tome :cool:

There was another thread on here (can't find it now) with 16 messages about how we get and error message when we try to log in. Is this going to be addressed at all? If I can't access my account to play any longer will I get a money return on my unspent DDO points in the DDO store?

I do wish they would make Hardcore more stable. Its supposed to be this big event where we can all get together and yet literally every time I decide to give it a go I soon remember the server is made of elastic and wonder if its really worth the effort
