Season 5 of the Hardcore League Begins on December 1st!

The next season of the Hardcore League begins on December 1st! This season is shorter than usual, and runs from 1:00pm Eastern (-5 GMT) on Wednesday, December 1st until 1:00pm Eastern (-5 GMT) on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022. The rewards for this season are the same as the rewards for Season One, with the exception of a Season 5 Sash and Cloak instead of the Season 1 sash and cloak.

It would be nice if you thru a bone out to the F2P and Prem. players
(not relevant to VIP players) and had a sale on dungeon elite unlock
keys (HCL server only) at like 50% or more off ?

Since with the shortened season, it would not be practical to
run to 20 ... start life 2 ... get to 20 start life 3 get to 20
in order to get all the rewards,
for a solo player. Not asking for a freebie for them ...
more like dropping the price to a level where they can applying
the coins they earn thru favor to keep getting keys to open
on elite or at least hard. 75% off would likely offer a path that would
work considering the favor coins you get early.

Do I want this for me? no, I usually pony up the subscription for HCL.

Just asking for folks that have no access to a subscription for whatever reason.

I like this idea and agree. Maybe even a favor thing? 400 Favor unlocks Drow, 1000 Favor unlocks Elite. 1500 Favor unlocks Reaper 1-2. Just tossing ideas around.

The Mimic Hunt in the last one was a dreadful and horrifically funny surprise on my inaugural visit to HC with HC4. The number of deaths per minute on the first few days were incredible!

HCL 1 was new and noone was really "used" to the "Permadeath" Style. So getting those rewards from HC1 was , in my eyes, something unique.

Now you give out the same rewards even though people found ways to make it easier and achieve the rewards by practice.

Please think about that decision!

The hardcore advertisement should be is "Dont bother run this season everything will come back for you and easily in near future"...

I think some of you are over reacting about the bloody foot steps favor reward. Sure there is more content than 2 years ago buts its also more difficult content. The content released is all lower lvl content with lower favor , you are still going to have run lvl 19 quests. The only way I can see how its any easier than season 1 is that weve all had time to process the permadeath theme and gravitate our builds to suit the mechanic. Even with the extra content most will not reach 5k favor . Im glad they brought the footsteps back and give people a second shot at them. Anyway look forward to HC 5 and hope to see all yall there :)

And, once again, introducing cosmetic rewards for HC league without posting a single image of the items/effects. How would you like to get invited to an art exhibition, and instead of picture previews, each picture is described in 100 words? You wouldn't read each description, nor visit such an exhibition now would you..

Is it that hard to get official screenshots of items/effects like a tease, or do we need to wait for some kind soul to upload ingame screenshots to third party sites (ddowiki)..

I still think the 'new' footprints should have been unique, but that ship has sailed unfortunately

While I don't begrudge others to get footprints, they are awesome, please consider changing the colour of them. It was proposed multiple times in the past and I think it is a reasonable compromise between offering a rare and special achievement again and thus make it lose the rare and special and offering it to different players that missed the opportunity.
Otherwise you cheat the HCL 1 players out of their achievement.
Or the follow-up question is: Will it be possible to get passed rewards from HCL 2-4, too? If you open this box be at least consequent.

They also said that the footprints were only going to be visible to to the player that earned them, they initially thought it would be too processor intensive to have it show on everyone's screen.

Are you advocating that they should put the footprints back to the way they were originally advertised too?
