U51 - Reborn in Light

In U51 'Reborn in light' was moved to 'Unyielding sentinel', but players did not want to give up on the old epic moment and 'Reborn in Light' got draped before going live.

'Reborn in Light' was added back in 2012 (with the 'Menace of the Underdark' expansion) and has made once-per-rest self-resurrection available to everyone from level 20 and up.

The last 9 years of content have all been balanced around 'Reborn in Light' being an option, and it is critical for the players that depend on it to have it available in game.

Please bring it back. Ty.

Here are my suggestions for re-implementing 'Reborn in light' post U51.

Q: where will 'Reborn in light' fit?

A: Option A: As a 'multi selector' together with the 'Epic moment'. In this way a player can choose between the 'Epic moment' (5 min cooldown, endless uses), or 'Reborn in light' (once per rest, 10 min cooldown).

....Option B: When selecting the 'Epic moment' you will be auto granted 'Reborn in light', however using one will give you immunity to the other until after you rest. (Like with 'Death pact' immunity to reapplying 'Death pact')

Q: What will 'Reborn in light' do.

A: Option 1: Exactly as it worked before the update. (To avoid spending development time on it)

....Option 2: Only A once-per-rest self-resurrection with no other buffs. (To avoid the question of balancing)

....Option 3: A once-per-rest self-resurrection along with the effect of the 'Epic moment', but with the down side of it being only once per rest. (See Option B)

Q: Witch 'Epic moment' are you referring to?

A: Any. 'Exalted Angel' or 'Unyielding Sentinel' or perhaps all 'Epic moments'. as long as it is an available option to whoever needs it, all should be good.

Edit: p.s.

the more I think about it, the dev's should just add a new 'Epic Feat' called 'Reborn in Light' that is a once-per-min self-rez with a 10 min cooldown.

Game balance around this ability? It’s not meld…personally I never took this.

That being said, I like the idea of giving to tank tree or divine tree epic moment. But maybe only if you are in that mantle as well.

I think the full reborn in light from pre u51 effect should be added as a self only portion of the epic moment in divine crusader, which would make it far more useful and really give it some power as a "chance to recover from a wipe" thing

Was about to post the same. The new DC is quite bland and really needs a buff.

...well, reborn in light is more specialized and less general. it would be like someone that only plays casters saying that they don't get way people like adrenalin...

the main function of reborn in light is consistency, not power. it is meant as a way to recover from a wipe.

it is primarily used by tanks, healers and any one who solos a lot. for that player group it is critical.

i never followed lammania discussion/feedback. did the devs ever give explanation or reasoning why reborn was removed or originally intended to be moved to unyielding?
was it deemed op? it seems an appropriate epicmoment for remaining in EA.

as far as I can tell it just got cut do to it not fitting in.
