Polished Ogre Magi Horns???

A friend of mine who played back at launch cam back and was cleaning out some characters and ran across these things. For the life of me I cannot remember what they were used for and the Wiki or even Google have been blank on it. Anyone here know where these came from and what they were used for?

According to Google, they were spell components for Dimension Door or Teleport.

A number of old forum posts claim, e.g., "Lich dust was for Teleport and Polished Ogre Magi Horns was for Dimension Door."

very cool i would have prefered that they left those as reagents ingame rather than simplifying.
