View Full Version : Missing tomes, and no response from Support

For several weeks now i have waited patiently for support to answer one of my two tickets i submitted (one through the DDO Help, and one through Standing Stone Support).
I noticed two TRs ago that i was missing my Tomes which were granted for the Free To Play bundle many years ago. Just poof, gone, seems like an easy thing to fix, but it would be even easier to just respond to either ticket.
Does anyone know of another support channel I can try?

Have you spent money recently?
I believe you get no CS if you have not spent money with in the last month or so.

Log in to SSG webpage support.
i had some issues / Tickets that never got repied to.
After i logged in to SSG page i found that they ( SSG ) market them as solved and closed.
and they were neither solved or ever replied to.

I believe you get no CS if you have not spent money with in the last month or so.
How is that even legal? What if I bought a +8 tome more than a month ago for points and then lose it on TR? They are going to say "BL thanks for playing"?

If this is true it's insane. And even if it was part of ToS doesn't necessarily mean it would be enough to shield SSG. Don't let this go.

The legal fiction is that they didn’t sell you the tome or even the program, they just rent you temporary access to the server. Which is why they could sell you a million dollars worth of junk and then ban you the next day for violating tos without a refund.
They claim all items your character acquires are still their property, so they can change/delete etc at whim, which is what they do every time they decide they need to to make more money, see epic trees for the most recent example.
From their pov, it’s not that they took your tomes away, it’s that you didn’t pay for server access recently via premium/vip, so they give you the bare minimum ftp access which doesn’t include bug support. If their game was well programmed that would be reasonable, but… it isn’t so they end up looking like jerks all the time.

I'm in the same boat, tr'd my main with my static group on Thursday and noticed my HP was low, especially since I'm the tank! Thought they all just had more hp gear or put more con or something. But by level 5ish the next day I investigated more and found out none of my inherent stats were being applied. I've had a +8 for a while now.
I didn't submit my ticket til late Friday night so didn't expect a response over the weekend. Hoping it doesn't take weeks though...Also not thrilled that the bug seems to persist through trs?

During the wednesday stream with severlin, he even stated thay CS is working hard to get these missing tomes/epic past lives issues resolved.

I have been VIP since about 09. Like you I have had some minor game issues but have just rolled with it. I also do no post just to post or whine at every little thing. I ETR/RTR yesterday and lost +8 supreme tome and a couple cosmetics. No response from SSG to the ticket. All I want is the tome back. It is not the cost, I dump $150 a month plus around $500 each black Friday. It is not the $60 lost tome, it is the principal of bad customer service after SSG’s mistake. It is a lack of integrity that bothers me. Annual VIP subscription is due in 2 weeks. Black Friday is next week. Your move SSG.
Update: No skill tomes either...gone are several +2's, 6 +4's, one +5. Icing on this steaming **** cake of a buggy U51. Destroyed my faith in online customer service such as it was. This household runs 3 accounts. Mine, Wife, and one for the 2 kids. Expenditures above are just mine. Add to a lesser degree theirs.
