Alternative to banking mules-
Create a House K Concierge that overlaps a character creation slot:
-Ten bank tabs (200)- expandable (Same store purchase method as a regular character)
-Eight inventory tabs (160)- expandable (Same store purchase method as a regular character)
-Access to shared bank for item transfer to an from PCs.
-Allows tabs to be named (Hover-over text) for player preference- Sharn sets, RL sets, crafting, etc.
--perhaps implement several gear slot layouts (Bing, level 15; remove and place gear in shared bank, log-off, load Concierge- move doffed gear to gear slot layout, transfer level 15 gear from the Concierge gear layout to the shared bank, relog PC and gear up. Certainly better than searching the TR cache, or trying to remember what I used last life at X level.)
This assistant starts in an enclosed area (House K themed), cannot leave that area, cannot drink potions, read tomes, feed sentient gems, etc
But it provides a storage capacity that is searchable in the same manner as a character inventory.
The inventory presence/loading is cleared when the playing character is logged on which reduces the work-load on the server.
My understanding is that when a shared bank is opened/accessed that adds load. This provides a storage system that does not require leveling/favor runs, holds the bulk of inventory, and reduces resources needed for maintaining shared bank presences on the server. It also means less character logging on/off in search for those elusive items. (I have a paper list of which character holds what stuff but it is still a pita.)
TR Cache is a literal drag on resources, according to previous conversations- this would provide an alternative that covers what players have been requesting; searchable, approaching sufficient storage (Some people just can't get enough stuff, though) and it alleviates the resource drain of a bulky TR Cache and the time searching visually.
Would it work?
Or we can continue training bank mules and wasting time to get the favor, then spend time sorting through BMs trying to find the gear later. This just centralizes that- one mule, no time spent assigning skills, stats or gear to train him or her up.
